Overall

Initial ContactI first learned about this maker through their online presence. Initial contact was straightforward, and communication was handled via Mail.
The maker responded quickly to my inquiries and was generally easy to reach during the early stages of the project.

Maker CommunicationCommunication with the maker was professional, but response times sometimes took several days. Progress updates were generally not provided unless I specifically requested them. For example, I only learned about a delay to the estimated completion date after asking for an update myself.
While the maker was polite and expectations for the commission were communicated adequately, more proactive updates regarding progress and delays would have improved the overall experience.

Project Completion TimeI am not fully satisfied with the completion time of the project. The commission began in July 2024 with an estimated completion date before August 2025, but the project was not completed until November 2025. Communication regarding the delay was limited, and I only became aware of the revised timeline after requesting an update.
Once the suit was completed, it was shipped promptly via FedEx and tracking information was provided. The package was delayed by customs, although this was not the maker's fault. Delivery was otherwise timely, despite some issues with FedEx regarding customs fee collection.

Overall Project QualityOverall, I am satisfied with the project and feel that it largely met my expectations. The suit is comfortable to wear, offers excellent visibility, and presents the character in a recognizable and appealing way. The fur quality is good, the construction feels solid, and all components work together to create a cohesive appearance.

When worn, the various elements of the suit flow together well. The colors are consistent throughout, the markings maintain their intended shapes, and there are no obvious gaps or mismatched seams. The overall silhouette is clean and matches the maker's established style. While some details from the reference sheet were simplified or omitted, particularly on the Protogen fins, the final result remains faithful to the character's design.

The electronics function reliably and add personality to the suit through five pre-programmed expressions. Although these expressions cannot easily be modified after production, they are well-made and fit the character.

One issue I encountered involved the visor. After the original visor was damaged, a replacement was provided. However, the replacement differed significantly from the original in both appearance and finish, and did not match my expectations for the suit. Because of this, I returned the replacement to the maker for further resolution. At the time of writing this review, the situation remains unresolved, as the returned package has not yet been collected and is being processed for return to sender.

From a durability standpoint, the suit itself has otherwise held up well during normal use. I have not experienced any unusual wear, tearing, or damage to the furwork or construction, and the suit appears capable of lasting a long time with proper care and maintenance. The interior is easy to clean, and routine upkeep is straightforward.

Considering the overall quality, comfort, visibility, and functionality, I believe the project was largely worth the price paid. However, the unresolved visor replacement issue has negatively affected my overall satisfaction and post-sale experience. Aside from that concern, the finished product is enjoyable to wear and succeeds in delivering a cohesive and visually appealing suit.

Components

Head

Wear SatisfactionThe suit is very comfortable to wear and fits me just so. No measurements were taken beforehand, as the maker did not require them, and the fit worked out well for me. However, the sizing appears to be fairly specific, my friend was unable to wear it comfortably because his head was too large for the suit.

Sweat has not been an issue during my use of the suit. The interior is easy to clean, and any moisture or buildup can be wiped away with a damp cloth. However, it should not be cleaned under running or flowing water due to the electronics inside.

Ventilation is handled by a single 40mm fan located at the front of the suit. The airflow is essential, as humidity builds up quickly without it, causing the visor to fog and severely reducing visibility. The included fan is somewhat underpowered, so I replaced it with a stronger one. This significantly improved airflow, helping me stay cooler and keeping the visor clear.

With proper ventilation and humidity under control, visibility is excellent. The suit offers a very large field of view compared to other suits. The electronic components are positioned within the natural blind spots of my eyes, so they do not interfere with forward vision. As with most suits, peripheral vision is limited, but I can see well ahead without needing to constantly turn my head.

Visual SatisfactionThe overall symmetry of the suit is good. The shaping is even, and nothing appears noticeably lopsided. The markings are clean and match the character's reference sheet well.
The fur quality is good, with an even shave throughout the suit. The fur length is consistent and matches the intended appearance of the character. Transitions between different fur areas are smooth, and there are no obvious patches where the backing is visible.
The fur itself is soft, fluffy, and easy to maintain. It brushes well and retains its appearance after wear. I have not experienced any issues with colors bleeding or markings rubbing off.

The head has a good overall appearance and captures the character's expression well. The electronics are programmed with five different expressions created by the maker, allowing for some variety in the character's appearance. However, these expressions are fixed, and there is no practical way to modify or add new expressions afterward without altering the electronics and programming.
Overall, the suit closely matches the reference sheet and captures the character's intended look. However, some details were omitted during production. In particular, the Protogen fins differ from the reference design and are missing a few details. While this makes the suit slightly less accurate to the original artwork, the overall appearance remains recognizable and faithful to the character.

NO This review has been marked with a negative rating.
This means the reviewer would NOT recommend FurBitten Studios unless they significantly change their practices.

Final CommentsOverall, I am satisfied with the finished suit. It is comfortable to wear, offers excellent visibility, and closely matches my character's design. The fur quality, construction, and electronics are all well done.
However, the lack of proactive communication, the project exceeding its original ETA, and the currently unresolved visor replacement issue have significantly impacted my overall experience.
While the final product itself is of good quality, I would not personally recommend this maker based on my experience with communication, project management, and post-sale support.
