I already had the maker's WeChat from a previous commission, so I contacted them through there around January for a quote. Mild already had all of my measurements, so all they needed was my reference.
Talking to Mild was pretty easy! Because they were in China, usually I would ask them questions at what would be night time for me so they could see them at what would be morning to them. They treated me very nicely and when I needed a colour change on Tchau's navy blue they were extremely kind about it and were willing to do it! Mild was both professional and sweet to talk to, and they're really friendly to talk to! I didn't feel scared about asking for certain things on my suit to be done.
It took about 2ish months from start to finish, and another month to get to the USA, which was pretty good. There were delays in the shipping company actually picking up the package to put on the flight, but that was not Mild's fault at all.
I'm super happy with how she turned out, she's basically everything I could have asked for in a fursuit head T_T
Tchau is super durable and I've picked her up by the ears and horns, and nothing has torn or fallen off. She fits amazingly and she's so fun to wear! For the price I paid she exceeds all of my expectations, and she looks just like the references I gave to my maker. I don't think I could have gone to anyone else but Mild for my fursuit <3
The head fits perfectly on me! It's lined with this mesh-like material and it feels really breathable ^.^ There is padding in the head I can remove with velcro and they seem to be made with some sort of neoprene(?) and they're easy to clean off, but I usually wear a balaclava inside of my head. The ventilation is good for a kemono fursuit, since I usually have request for the eye domes to be removed I have a lot of ventilation coming through her huge eyes.
As for the vision, it's really good! I do have a slightly bigger blindspot in the middle compared to my previous fursuit, but other than that it's not too hard to see out of the head.
She looks just like her ref sheet! T_T She's everything I could have asked for… The only inaccuracy is her nurse hat, which is mint in real life with a black cross, instead of the grey with blue heart in my references, but I don't mind it at all.
I was pretty worried about her colours being inaccurate, since many people I commissioned to make Tchau's other parts kept using cyan for her light green; but to my surprise the green is actually spot on! The fur is super soft and feels nice to the touch, and the expressions and eyelids are absolutely adorable :-3
