It was very easy to initially get in contact with the maker over Telegram. We began the commissioning process this way. They responded quickly when it came to my payment. But after the money was sent, communication ceased unless I messaged them first.
Very Poor. The maker did not give any updates at all for over an entire year. Not directly or on social media. Often, the maker would leave messages on read and respond hours, sometimes DAYS later. They only gave excuses as to why they were taking longer than expected or couldn't deliver on their promises THEY made.
It took 2 years and month for my head to be completed. The maker missed 1 deadline I set MONTHS in advanced. I asked for it to be done at the 2 year mark at the start of 2021. They said they could achieve that deadline. Deadline came and went and it took them a whole month afterwards to complete the suit. And that is only because I had to keep bugging and pushing just to get anywhere. It was delivered DAY OF the new deadline I set after the 1st was missed.
Overall, I'm very dissatisfied with the commissioning process with this maker. They took a whole year and half to even TALK to me about progress and updates. And even then, i had to constantly push and bug for any actual updates. I'm very disappointed with the wearability of the head. The only nice thing I can say about the head is it IS put together well and it is high quality work.
It is VERY difficult to wear this head. It is way too big for me despite me giving the maker my measurements. I have an entire Index fingers worth of room between my nose and the bridge of the nose inside the mask. Its made on cast foam and VERY heavy and weighs down on my face so much I have to hold it up by the nose to prevent it from sitting on my neck and choking me from the weight. It is way too big on the actual inside of the head but the neck is way too small to fit over anyone else. and barely fits on me.
The style is fine. It fits my character well. The shaving is well done with no bald patches and there's no holes or exposed seams or foam. It has the exact expression I wanted and it matches my reference sheet very closely.
Would you recommend this maker?
This means the reviewer would NOT recommend Fur It Up unless they significantly change their practices.
My experience with this maker has been very frustrating and to put it bluntly, annoying. They had every excuse under the sun as to why they weren't working and would go MONTHS without making ANY progress on any of their queue. I know for a fact I am not the only client who has issues of waiting and getting sparse if any, communication at all. I do not recommend this maker unless you don't mind waiting 2-3 years with absolutely zero idea of what they're doing and zero communication.
