Character Concept Art

Head

Wear Satisfaction

It does not properly fit and is too big. The ventilation is relatively normal. Vision is normal as well. large blind spot but that is to be expected.

Visual Satisfaction

Symmetry is great. Her shaving is great as expected.
The fur is soft and sewn together very well.
Expression is also super cute. She did a great job of matching my concept and making the character look happy. The only thing I’ve noticed expression wise is you really have to make sure youre tilting your head up or else the eyes seem to hide partially behind the brow line and look ‘grumpy’ but with a smiling face.

Body

Wear Satisfaction

The body fits alright, a little loose around my stomach but I think that just helps me move?
Quality wise the padding is wonderful and removable for easy washing. It could definitely use some form of anchoring to the body. I bought a pair of suspenders. It’s heavy.
The tail holes are weak and there is nothing keeping it from ripping. There should of been a second set to help the tail as the tails base is large.
Interior. The legs are the best part of the interior because they are build onto pajama pants which are comfy. I have yet to pop any of my seams. There is no lining on the torso.
Airflow in the legs is tough but that’s expected. the rest of the body is fine. Being unlined is kind of a perk for airflow.

Visual Satisfaction

Symmetry is fine, I have notices any trouble
One problem I had hugely on the body suit was that we had specifically agreed on larger padded arms/paws. These were never put in and the arms are normal.
There is no shaving on the body. The fur is nice and soft, I adore the furs used on the body. The arms and lower legs were sparkle fur so a little less soft but that is fine.

We totally agreed on the colors. I like them.

Hands and Feet

Wear Satisfaction

I am incredibly unhappy with the hands and feet. Neither are comfortable. The shoes are crocs and the maker said she would not work on any other form of shoe. The feet were not lined and foam is exposed. If I walk or lift my leg the leg and foot will come unaligned and you can see the top of the shoe. The hands have foam on the inside of the claws which are not covered. They can EASILY slip off. They go on easy but come off easy too. The shoes don’t come off because crocs have a strap on the back. But because the alignment problem I can’t walk easily.

The feet and hands are both pretty messy and not comfortable. The hands have a spot or two of hot glue that got onto the ‘fingers’.

Visual Satisfaction

Symmetry is fine. The shaving on the paws is nice. gives the super long fur affect without leaving it on the inside of the hands.
The fur looks and feels fine, it is sparkle fur.
Color selection was fine we agreed well on this.

Tails

Wear Satisfaction

Not very happy with the how the tail fits. It’s not comfortable and it makes me uncomfortable. There are only 2 traps for the tail and the base of the tail is huge.

The quality is okay but the straps are made out of a fabric that doesn’t stretch so it can be tough to loop a belt through.
The tail was supposed to be padded and long with a foam core. The core was instead poly fill or something of the sort. was not at all stiff like it was supposed to be and like we had agreed.

Visual Satisfaction

Symmetry is okay and the fur is super soft and matches the rest of the body.
The base does not sit well against the back of my suit and is exposed a lot. I usually have to pin it in multiple places to keep it from being too noticeable.

Overall

Product Satisfaction

How was your concept art realized?
How satisfied are you with how closely the suit matches the concept art?
Semi Happy. Most of the suit is good except the tails and arms/paw transition.

How well does everything fit together and match up?
How satisfied are you with how well everything fits together and matches up?
Very unhappy. The tail does not match up with the body and neither do the feet. Both expose edges they shouldn’t

Overall Project Quality
How satisfied are you with the overall quality of your project?
Not very happy. Externally the suit looks great if it’s not moving. But once as you move things start to come undone. The exposed foam in the Hands/feet are uncomfortable.

Purchase Process

Initial Contact
Getting my quote was easy and very nice.

Maker Response Time
How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
Not at all happy. She would disappear for extended periods of time without warning. She stopped replying to emails a few months in and I had to track her down on twitter. She would still disappear but was easier to contact there.

Maker Professionalism
How satisfied are you with the overall customer service and professionalism of the maker?
Very unhappy. The lack of following the queue on top of disappearing and refusing any sort of dates made it very hard to work with her. I asked her on multiple occasions how things were going and often waited weeks-a month before I would get any sort of progress.

Project Completion Time
There was no deadline but I am still unhappy with the amount of time it took to receive my suit. She had a queue on her page but never stuck to it and would often work on pre mades before working on her queue suits. She refused to give start dates either.

NO

This review has been marked with a negative rating.
This means the reviewer would NOT recommend Water Dog Wharf, ShortStackStudios unless they significantly change their practices.

Final Comments
In the end I got a cute suit with some flaws. Externally the suit is wonderful. Pieces had trouble. The best part of the suit is the padding and the durability on the head.

Customer service however completely killed this exchange for me and if I would’ve known about how she treated her queue I would of gone with someone else.
