Head

Wear Satisfaction

Poor. The head has no support in the back and is very large and loose. The face was lined with an old t shirt and was hard from the amount of glue used. Not good material to keep cool, lycra, neoprene, or spandex would have been a better option.

Nearly 20 loose pins were pulled out of the head. We were VERY lucky no one got hurt while wearing it, as there were pins poking out near the eyes and all around the face. Forgetting one or two is excusable, but nearly 20 is ridiculous and leads us to believe there may be hostile intentions.

Vision and ventilation however were very good.

Visual Satisfaction

The head was very cute at first glance, big smile, cute eyes, and nice, sturdy ears that also wiggled just right. However, looking closer, shaving was very uneven. There were many bald patches and patches that seemed forgotten about, especially on the seams.

There is a blatantly obvious seam in the dead center of the nose. I personally find it atrocious.

Teeth and horns seemed to have been hastily put together. Poorly made and hanging on by a small bead of glue. Also missing two teeth, which were very important to the character.

No lining on the eyes, looks unclean. The eyes are also not the correct color – the reference sheet shows they are a solid shade of blue, not black.

Hands and Feet

Wear Satisfaction

One is unwearable. The other is incredibly small.

Today, I pulled these paws out again. One of the fingers popped right off. It was only basted (loosely stitched) on. There aren’t holes to put fingers in. It is simply unwearable.

Visual Satisfaction

They do not match the reference sheet either. We did change the paws to be all orange and to have gray paw pads specifically. There are no paw pads. They do look cute, however.

Tails

Wear Satisfaction

The tail was unwearable outside the box. There were no belt loops attached.

We also asked for a long tail to match the reference sheet, and it is not very long. Sorry, not everyone is 5’2″. My husband is 6’2″ and the tail looks tiny on him. The maker called this tail a “movable base”, which in fact is only a loosely stuffed tube of fur.

Visual Satisfaction

It is not close to the reference sheet at all. The tail is green with a white stripe and orange tip. This tail is all green, no white or orange to be seen.

Overall

Product Satisfaction

How well does everything fit together and match up?
Markings were on par for the head only. Colors were not close to the reference sheet except the white and yellow. Reference sheet shows pastel green and orange, not lime green and amber. The maker clearly took artistic liberty when purchasing fur, and did not consult with us.

There are many visible gaps that were either crudely sewn, or glued together. There was also a ginormous hole in the top of the head when I pulled it back out after a while.

The suit does not fit at all. The head is too big and the hands too small and no belt loops on the tail.

Overall Project Quality
We are not happy with the product.

Purchase Process

Initial Contact
Fairly easy. My husband was in a group chat with the maker, and they came across as professional and confident.

Maker Response Time
At the beginning, it was ok. It got much much worse as time went on.

Maker Professionalism
The maker came across as professional at the beginning. But over time, the professionalism went away. The maker used my husband as an outlet for personal problems, chatting, etc. and would ghost us when asking for updates.

Project Completion Time
ETA was 5-6 months, and was given as a promise. No WIP’s until we asked for a full or partial refund. Took maker 7-8 months to complete a mini partial, rather than a full which was initially commissioned for.

Rating FursuitReview rates by asking the question:
Would you recommend this maker?

NO

This review has been marked with a negative rating.
This means the reviewer would NOT recommend Kleo The Medical Dragon unless they significantly change their practices.

Final Comments
We asked for a refund of $400. This means the maker was able to keep $800, which is more than their base price for a full partial. We have not received the refund. The maker has “tried” to give the refund, but has supposedly failed numerous times by either sending it to the wrong paypal, or ignoring our requests. Needless to say, we were scammed by this maker.

Do NOT commission this maker until they have seriously reconsidered their business practices.

UPDATE FROM 22 FEB 2020: we have taken the entire head apart and stripped the fur off. We have found 14 more pins, totaling around 34 pins left and hidden inside the head.

  1. I was expecting the total price for this partial to be like $300 – 500 on the low end. This is not a suit worth $1200. You might want to try doing a charge back on paypal.

  2. Is this REAL??? 20 pins? I would have charged back SO hard. How do you even make that mistake?? And how are the paws and tail so far from the ref sheet? I am baffled. Charge back dude. Don’t let them get away with this

  4. God, the fact that they got away with selling this atrocity for $1,200 is beyond me. So sorry you got so heinously scammed.

  5. You should do a chargeback if possible. 34 pins are atrocious and NOT professional. Definitely, a hazard to wear. Very sorry you got scammed.
