Very easy, I contacted the maker and within 4 hours had an initial response. Sent over reference and received the quote. I ended up adding some extras after the initial quote.
I am very dissatisfied with maker communication. Multiple times I had to wait for a response for weeks. It 100% feels like the loudest client is the one who gets worked on, and that really sucks. WIPs were provided, and they were professional when I did hear from them, but the communication was not frequent enough.
It had taken 9 months past the original completion date.
10/23/2021 – Received quote and paid for the suit in full. Initial completion estimate of June/July 2022. They ask for a DTD and the shoes at this time and ask for it to be delivered by the end of the year.
11/18/2021 – I add on several extras, they say they will send over another invoice.
12/7/2021 – I ask for information about where to send my DTD/Shoes and ask for them to send the invoice for the extras as I never received it.
1/4/2022 – DTD arrives but I receive no confirmation from Pyrope.
1/13/2022 – I ask for them to verify the arrival of the DTD/Shoes and once again for the invoice for the extras.
1/24/2022 – Pyrope sends over the invoice for the extras and pay for it immediately. They also confirm arrival of the DTD and Shoes.
— During this period neither I nor Pyrope communicated —
5/2/2022 – Pyrope contacts me and says they will be sending over fur samples digitally for me to review. We settle on fur selections that day.
5/13/2022 – I provide an updated ref with a minor difference that I disclosed when I ordered the suit.
— During this period neither I nor Pyrope communicated —
8/8/2022 – I receive a WIP of the DTD being filled and prepped.
9/27/2022 – I ask for an update, and if it is possible for completion by Midwest Fur Fest.
9/28/2022 – They mention they are working on updating the Trello board, and providng new delivery dates. They also mentioned they had finished the handpaws and posted it to their WIPs channel after that message. They say its possible to have it done by MFF, and say they're gonna schedule everything to have it ship on time. I provide them my shipping address.
10/4/2022 – They confirm that they're working towards a MFF delivery.
11/1/2022 – I ask for an update. They respond the same day saying they're working on the bodysuit, and about to start the tail and feetpaws. They also mention the change to digtial eyes and we confirm the exact style I'm after.
11/4/2022 – They provide photos of a partially complete bodysuit.
11/9/2022 – They provide more photos of a partially complete bodysuit, with slightly more progress.
11/11/2022 – They provide photos of a nearly complete bodysuit, just missing the zippers and finishing details.
11/15/2022 – They provide a WIP of the foam base of the head.
11/16/2022- I ask if we're still on track for MFF delivery.
11/22/2022 – Pyrope says they're not going to be able to complete MFF delivery. They send another WIP of a more completed foam base for the head. They ask me to confirm markings which I do.
12/9/2022 – I mention I am attending Further Confusion in January and asked if a delivery by that con would be feasible. I receive no response.
12/20/2022- I attempt to check in again. I receive no response.
12/27/2022 – I attempt to check in again. I receive no response.
12/29/2022 – Pyrope responds and says "We'll work super hard to have your suit by then, we're actively working on multiple fursuits so getting to the final details of your head won't take much longer!"
1/16/2023 – Pyrope contacts me and says that FC delivery won't be happening. They mentioned issues in their local area preventing them from safely working on suits. They also provide a WIP of the head with fur that looks nearly complete. I notice an issue with the fur and point it out to them the same day (1 panel was the wrong color). They confirm they will fix it.
1/20/2023 – WIP of head with the fixed piece. They also provide of their own accord a delivery timeframe of the first week of February.
2/2/2023 – I attempt to check in. No response.
2/5/2023 – I attempt to check in. No response.
2/8/2023 – They provide a WIP of the tail.
2/15/2023 – I attempt to check in. No response.
2/24/2023 – I attempt to check in and mention I am planning to attend TFF which is my local con. They respond the same day and said they were waiting on fur delivery for the fingers of the paws. I wonder if they meant toes for the feetpaws as the handpaws were already complete. They provide phtotos of the feetpaws and the head. Feetpaws look complete, and the head is nearly complete except for some detail work around the mouth. I confirm that the WIPs look good and ask about TFF again, mentioning I would pay for rush shipping to have him there on time. Pyrope responds and says that TFF delivery should be doable even with ~20 days remaining. I also ask about some of the extras which I ordered, including a head fan and eyelids. I receive no response to this question.
2/28/2023 – I check in and receive a response the next day. They say they're gonna send WIPs soon and plan to ship the suit 6-7 days before the con. This is tight as it is an international shipment into the US, but I digress. They also ask about expressions for the eyelids, which I provide details on.
3/9/2023 – I check in as this is the final date the suit can ship and arrive using normal delivery times. Pyrope responds ~24h afterwards saying they're going to pay for DHL express shipping.
3/11/2023 – They provide some final photos of the suit, including feetpaws and handpaws.
3/13/2023 – They provide final photos of the bodysuit and head. No update on shipping
3/14/2023 – They mention that UPS and DHL closed earlier than they expected and that they were unable to ship the suit in time. Luckily I had built a buffer in and asked them to still ship the suit. That day I receive tracking information for UPS. The suit is dropped off for shipping.
The suit arrives on the friday of TFF. I ended up wasting an entire day waiting for the suit to arrive.
3/23/2023 – Pyrope contacts me and asks for photos of the suit since they rushed it out and didn't have time to do a photoshoot. They also mention their artist didn't have time to complete the badge, but will send it when they can.
3/27/2023 – I send over photos to pyrope and mention several missing extras, including the head fan and bodysuit pockets. No response.
4/25/2023 – I ask for a response, and they respond the same day mentioning " i am not currently installing more fans in the heads due the size of the mouth and I think they're no very necessary. If you want i can refund you the cost of it or use to pay part of the shipping". Keep in mind they had said they would pay for the express shipping, but I figured they still wanted me to cover the base shipping cost, which I was ok with. I respond the same day and say im not concerned about the cost of the parts. they also offer to have my ship the bodysuit back to install the pockets, which I declined.
4/26/2023 – They send me an invoice for the full amount for the shipping, including express costs. As to not bring any bad blood in, I just pay it.
6/14/2023 – I ask them to verify that they received the payment and ask for an update on the badge. They respond the same day saying they haven't been able to ship the badge because of time and money. They said they would keep me posted. This is the last message in our DMs.
What I received I am happy with other than the head, which doesn't wear how I wish it did. Pyrope never asked for head sizing and I have now learned how much of an error that was.
Even with the wear issues on the head, everything is very high quality and shows true artistry. I have high confidence this suit will last a long time without needing repairs.
It does breathe okay and absorbs sweat fine. I do overheat fast in suit and this suit doesn't do anything special to help. Its lined in a black material with a mesh on the neck piece.
The eyes give tons of vision which makes it easy to walk around in.
I believe the head is too small. I have to decide between crushing my jaw on the lip inside or breathing directly into the foam underneath the mouthpiece.
Visually great. All markings match the character. Shaving is good and overall fur is well placed and directs nice. It is very easy to brush and maintain. The toony eyes are a standout feature for Pyrope and they continue to impress here. Colby is one of the first suits with their new printed eyes instead of painted eyes as far as I know. Expression is good and I can achieve multiple looks with the velcro eyelids and tongues. I was given 1 pair of eyelids and 2 tongues. I have cleaned with a green machine several times without issue.
It is fit extremely well, if slightly on the snug side. I have good movement and can easily walk around without issue. Expected levels of limitation in terms of limb movement, but nothing above the ordinary.
I have had no seam issues, this thing is built like a tank and it shows. High quality stitching all around. The suit is not lined. No construction marks inside.
My only complaint personally would be the metal zipper. It is extremely chunky and hard to zip by myself. I would have preferred a durable plastic one instead. Some people will see this as an advantages, YMMV.
I've also had some unexpected issues with fur clumping in unexpected areas, requiring extra teasing to untangle. This is in high traffic/rubbing areas. My other suit doesn't bunch like this one.
Looks great. fits well and matches the character well. No extra padding anywhere in this suit. No issues with shaving and has that nice multi-layered look that more modern suits are starting to use. Transitions look fine and you can't notice at all. Big Z fur all around., I have cleaned in my washer on the delicate setting with no heat without issue. Washes and dries fine.
Big, fluffy, toony paws. Large but somehow still has OK dexterity. I can move my fingers well and operate basic things like doorknobs and buttons if I try hard enough.
They're really easy to get on and off, and I feel confident they will stay in place unless I am trying to take them off. They're nicely lined with the same black material as the head. While these are ambidextrous 4 finger paws, pyrope does include their tag in the right paw to distinguish.
Great. big and fluffy white paws with black pads and claws. Looks like like the reference and uses the same fur as the bodysuit. Easy to brush and maintain. I have cleaned with a green machine several times without issue.
Attaches using a belt, so it can be used with our without the bodysuit. Construction is great and it is holding up fine. For a curled tail it stays in place a lot of the time.
Just like the reference. Extra fluff was left on the bodysuit to help hide the tail attachment. I just wish it was slightly larger
Wear is great. Pyrope prefers to use a pair of crocs that are permanently attached inside the feetpaws. Nice and high so there is no issue with transition between the bodysuit and the feetpaws. Nicely lined in the upper part. I've already washed them a few times and have had no issues going over it with the green machine.
They're decently easy to get on and off, but I did get stuck once when the strap of the Croc correctly held my foot in place, had to get some help to get out, now I know to watch out for it. Pyrope does include their tag in the right paw to distinguish.
Dead on, same navy with black claws just like in the design. Can be worn without the bodysuit and will be a good set of outdoor feetpaws for any case.

If you can get a suit from them, the quality is unmatched, but it almost isn't worth the hassle.
