I reached out and we had a payment plan and schedule that same evening. Maker CommunicationI found the slot available on Twitter and then all policies were easily found on Beastcubs website. I purchased the suit directly with the maker and paid via Paypal and mailed Checks. It was very easy to send in my DTD, measurements, shoes, and materials. Project Completion TimeBeastcub and I communicated frequently to ensure payments went through and on the planning schedule. The payment plan was exactly on time and she delivered the suit several weeks early on our original timeline. It was a perfect year with no lapses in communication or understanding. My timeline was completed over the course of a year, including payments and the suit construction: July 2022 to August 2023 Overall Project QualityI am beyond happy with this suit. Every detail is beautiful and more than I could have ever personally designed or requested. Beastcub kept finding more and more ways to make Xylarik a truly beautiful work of art. All the the parts of a suit Id normally worry about are sturdy and painless. The feet are strong and easy to maintain. Seams are tough sewn and glued tight. The tails are light and easy to wear and enjoy. All the ornaments and additions feel sturdy and extras were provided if they fall off or damage with time and use. The fit is flawless. Anything that isnt tailored directly to my body is adjustable and comfortable. Ive never been able to suit for hours on hours without breaks or issues until this suit. The suit has space for my cooling vest and packs without being too tight or ruining the illusion. I am satisfied with the suit, feel I got BEYOND my moneys worth, and adored the process watching the design elements change and grow. I was entirely chill and trusted Beastcub the entire way through and she did not disappoint at all. In my opinion I underpaid for what the suit is worth. Components Head Wear SatisfactionThe head is built on a baseball cap , making it comfortable to wear and adjust. No part of the head touches my face or skin and the neck based vision makes it incredibly easy to see (comparable to wearing a loose motorcycle helmet). Breathable, and I could wear glasses comfortably if something happens with my contacts. While the head is heavy (Beastcub informed me it would be from the horns and head I approved) it at no point is uncomfortable or painful. I can wear the head for hours without breaks with the included internal fan and an extra neck ice pack. VERY satisfied Visual SatisfactionThis was an artistic liberty design. I chose the fabric and species, and Beastcub did the rest. I could not be more thrilled with the head shape, expression, colors, and decoration. The parts that glow (both UV and blacklight) elegantly accentuate the day visible colors and layout. It also has velcro eyelids for expression. Completely beautiful and shows the decades of expertise. One-Piece Body Wear SatisfactionThe body is form fitting and has an attached tail (I will review the attached tail seperately from the additional solo tail for partialing). The legs have digitigrade padding and the chest has an optional padding as well for a feminine appearance. The body suit is sturdy with well sealed seams. The inside has lining where it needs to (on padding and major crease areas) but doesnt overdo it. It is cooler and more breathable than my previous platigrade suit and yet more form fitting and comfortable overall. The suit has both a front and back zipper. This is amazing for "peeling" me out of the suit like a banana. I can both put on and remove the body with no assistance at all. Padding is easy to remove or add at will. The tail can also open from the inside of the suit, allowing me to stuff or unstuff it as needed for transport and safe cleaning. The tail has a great swing by combining both stuffing and an inflatable (seriously, the inflatable banana in the tail is the secret sauce for great lightweight tail wagging). The tail is BIG, almost as big as my own body. But the body suit never feels dragged down or like its straining to hold the tail up. The belt loops for the tail are tough as nails and I see years and years of wear before any issues arise from them or any seems. Visual SatisfactionThe body suit is beautiful as the head, with both static decorations like the glowing spikes, scales and mushrooms as well as magnetic removable fungi in case I want to wear a shirt or tank top with the suit The use of fur piles that layer well make the body suit blend with the head and mane, feet, and hands. It looks natural and feels great. Hands Wear SatisfactionBeastcub actually sent me THREE pairs of hands- One with thick clicky claws, one with paw pads, and one five fingered easy glove set. All have glowing claws and fit my tiny hands without issue. Comfortable and sturdy. Visual SatisfactionAll three sets of hands are gorgeous. Solid black with the glow claws. The padded hands have no visible glue spots and feel natural. Tail Wear SatisfactionThe bodysuit tail is amazing on its own. But Beastcub also sent me a seperate slightly smaller tail I could wear for partialing with the suit. It is equally beautiful to the main suit tail with its own spikes, scales, and glow details. Fits perfectly. Visual SatisfactionIts like a baby version of the main suit tail! It genuinely looks like the dragon beast took a more casual humanoid form, and the tail works perfectly on belt loops and light weight Feet Wear SatisfactionThe feet are large, heavy glow in the dark hooves. Despite the weight, they are perfectly comfortable and easy to wear. They are built on a pair of shoes I sent in and chose for the amount of room I could use for my heel inserts. So far I havent had so much as a blister from these big stompers. Visual SatisfactionI LOVE these hooves. This was a creative choice Beastcub suggested over regular feet and it makes the suit so visually unique. I added some ballet clackers at the bottoms of them with some velcro and the clip clop on stone and tile is so satisfying. Special FeaturesThe suit has MANY UV and Blacklight reactive features, including scales, mushroom decor, foam, paint, and fabrics. The horns , hooves, teeth, and claws also all glow. Every addition is stunning and really takes the suit to the next level. It draws ooo's and ahh's everywhere I take it where I can go from sunlight into the dark.
