I am highly satisfied with it’s fit as I did many “fittings” where they put foam in all the necessary places for it to fit my head.
The suit has a fan in the snout that pulls hat damp air out the mouth of my suit. The jaw also is flexible and the mouth opens so I can get a straw in there for water and some fresh air. I breathe very well.
Vision is average. No fursuit head has perfect vision but I can see in front of me fairly clearly I just have massive blind spots on either side of my head as is normal.
She’s beautiful! Nothing is lopsided, everything is even. I’m soft and fluffy and really haven’t even had to brush much to keep it that way.
The eyes are resin casted so they have a follow me feel to them. The mouth opens and I have a cute little yellow tongue which gives me variance in my facial expression.
This was an artistic liberty design so I had no concept art to start from. SaltySuits put together some rough sketches, ran concepts by me, then started building so this was a surprise from start to finish. I knew that upon commission and I’m really thrilled about the results.
My hands were made by SaltySuits but they were made for a different customer. The customer then backed out and I bought the handpaws from them at a discounted rate. I knew from the beginning they wouldn’t fit me because they weren’t made for me. That being said the fingers are a tad long but I figured as much when I bought them.
I have had one claw come loose because I snagged it on a blanket and Salty fixed that in a matter of hours.
The inside of the hands aren’t lined.
The feet weren’t made by SaltSuits
As I stated above Arcane is a beautiful suit. Everything is even, my hands are nice and soft and I haven’t noticed any weird shaving spots.
My tail attached by an elastic loop that’s nice and wide so I don’t pants myself every time I wear it. It attaches to a belt and can slide along the belt if I need to sit down. It doesn’t shift much otherwise and lord knows I’ve caught it in doors and bonked it into stuff and nothings has come off. I also am known to hug my tail while it’s still on and that hasn’t stressed any seams or popped anything.
The tail is nice and even in stuffing and markings. Eventually over time stuff starts to sink towards the bottom a bit but if I hang it upside down overnight it all settles back.
My fur is soft and fluffy but as with any tail the underside towards the bottom (closest part to the floor) will start to look scruffy after long wears. Nothing a brush doesn’t take care of.
It was airbrushed for blending purposes and I can’t tell a difference in texture when I run my hands over the airbrushed portions.
My tail is so big and fluffy and I get tons of compliments on it. I also wear it just on a belt out and about so it probably gets the most wear out of all the costume pieces. Overall I’m a bit in love with it.
Very satisfied. But I had the advantage that we were neighbors in college so I sort of cheated.
Satisfied but again we had a face to face conversation. We literally had classes together.

I didn’t have any major cons to working with Salty. At the time they were in college and so sometimes classes and homework would get in the way but I’m not even mad because the suit was still done way ahead of time. And now they’ve graduated so that’s not a problem.
There were lots of pros to working with Salty. For me in particular I knew I wouldn’t pay shipping and could try things on as I went. I know that’s not going to be the case for most people. But I really loved that Salty used quality materials and has made a sturdy beautiful product. When designing the character if I wanted something they’d draw it up and tell me their honest opinion. Like I wanted lots more darker blue but when we put all the fabric samples together Salty was like “oh man I don’t know about that. What if we add the aqua.” So we tried it and it was perfect. Exactly what the suit needed. Salty also explained that dark blue and black on top of each other doesn’t have enough light colors in it to balance out. So it wasn’t like a “your idea sucks” it was “I want you to make an informed decision so you’re happy with the suit when it’s done.” They also educated me about fursuit wear and put up with me asking a million dumb questions as this is my first suit. They didn’t just want the suit done and me out of their hair.
In addition once the suit was made I was invited to join a facebook group of all the characters Salty has ever made. We still get together and do photoshoots at anime conventions. Even though it’s my first suit I already have my own little fursuit family and Salty made sure of that.
I would recommend SaltySuits to anyone. And I actually do link their website on most of my social media sites for what it’s worth.
