It was very easy to contact the maker. Met her at a booth on the dealers den at IFC. She gave me her contact info, and was always very quick to reply to any inquiries I had. Most contact through Telegram and twitter
The maker was always quick to reply to me, usually same day. She was very professional, but at the same time made me feel like I was talking to a good friend
I was never given, nor did I ever ask, fur a specific completion date. Upon discussing my commission, I was given a rough idea of 10-12 months fur completion, with the understanding it could be a little sooner, or a bit later fur completion. It turned out to be 14 months. A little longer than I had hoped, but I understand that months after I commissioned her, the maker underwent a move to a new house. Anyone familiar with moving knows that takes a month or two to get moved, settled, and back to work. I totally understood the unexpected delay and do not fault her for it. I am confident in saying if she hadn't moved during the time my suit was in commission, she would have had Ashiera to me within that initial 12 month estimate
Ok. Overall. I am absolutely thrilled with how Ashiera turned out. The maker did such a great job following my ref sheet and incorporating certain looks and aspects I wanted (facial expression, padded breasts, etc. The suit is comfortable, not overly hot, and looks absolutely fabulous! The quality seem very good. My biggest issue was learning the position on my back to wear my tail. Once I had that figured out it greatly improved the wear-ability and comfort. The durability seem great. I had issue with one popped seam early on, but the maker worked with me to help me repair it, and I've had no issue since.
It feels so good wearing such a beautiful suit, and knowing she will last me fur quite some time. Getting so many compliments from others how beautiful she looks!
The suit is without a doubt worth every penny I paid fur her, and the maker exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Ashiera is consistent with the makers style (one of the reasons I commissioned LLM, love there style!), and yet she has her individuality within that style.
SIDE NOTE: Ashiera is the first HORSE that this maker has made
I absolutely love how comfortable she is to wear! The head fits well, has decent enough ventilation considering her mouth doesn’t open much. Good ventilation thought the eyes. Vision wise I can see fairly well. The biggest vision issue is the way the mane is styled it hangs over and blocks my view out of my left eye, but that is the way I wanted it styled, I can't blame the maker for that! It's easy enough to reach up and move the mane out of my view when needed. There is a blind spot straight ahead, about my hand width wide held at arms length in front of me, but that is usual fur most fursuit heads, and not bad compared to some. The head is very nicely lined with a custom LLM patterned, very soft and comfortable material that does soak up the sweat well and keep me comfortable fur long periods of wear.
OVERALL I couldn’t be happier with the comfort and wear-ability of Ashiera's head
I think she is stunning to look at! The maker did an incredible job following my ref sheet and getting the look and expression that I desired fur my suit! I have zero complaints! And that mane! OMG it turned out better than I had imagined!
There is no obvious issues with the symmetry, the fur is soft and looks great. I LOVE the way the mane turned out, it's so beautiful and long! It is a little stiff, but that is mainly where it is styled to hang to one side over my face. I'm not sure what the mane is made of, but being so long it does take extra care when combing it out to not cause knots
This being my first fullsuit, at first I had problems wearing the suit, as it felt too binding in the thighs, restricting movement, and too loose in the belly/torso area. Talking to the maker, it was discovered I was tightening my tail belt too high on my body and my tail being so high, it was pulling the bottom half of the suit up too far. Adjusted how I wore the tail, and it fixed the problem. The suit fits well, has good movement, and is very comfortable to wear fur long periods of time. Wore it ALL day, all 3 days at the first con I wore Ashiera too, without issues. The body is not lined. It does get hot, but not overly so. Nothing the occasional trip to the headless lounge to unzip, and frequent hydration couldn't fix. I did have one popped seem on the upper back, but discussing with the maker it was an easy fix I was able to take care of myself. No issues since.
Imo Ashiera looks great! I'm thrilled with how she turned out. The symmetry is good, even in the padded breasts I had the maker add. The shape and size just what I was hoping fur. The short (but not too short) cut fur looks and feels soft, smooth and even. The longer cut futlock fur at the end of my arms and legs look great and blend in seamlessly with the matching fetlock fur on my hand and foot hooves. I am extremely satisfied with how the maker was able to incorporate, and match all my markings and colors with the ref sheet given.
I am very satisfied with my hand hooves! They are a little on the snug side to put my hands in, but once I have them on they fit perfectly! They are lined, with the same custom printed lining used in the head, making them very comfortable to wear long term. Quality and durability seems very good. I've had no issues
Visually they look great! They blend in well with my suit, and there is no gap between them and my bodysuit, even when stretching. It can be hard to see without looking close, but I chose to have 4 fingers hand hooves, with each finger ending in a smaller "hoof", with the fetlock fur long enough to cover and almost hide them from view. The maker nailed it! I got exactly the look I was wanting. They are nice and soft, and visually match what I had in my ref sheet and wanted. Zero complaints
I think the maker did an incredible job on my tail! It was a little hard to wear until I figured out (with the makers help) where to position the tail (at first I was wearing it too high, causing binding problems with my bodysuit. Adjusted position and all is good now) as with the mane, it turned out better, bigger, and fuller than I had expected, but that is a good thing! It matches the ref sheet art so well. I love how long and "flowy" the tail is. Like the mane though, being so long, it takes extra time and care to brush it out and keep it looking nice. But that is the nature of looong hair! It seems very durable, looks wonderful, feels wonderful wearing it. I couldn't be happier with it.
The tail is absolutely stunning! Such long "hair", it matches my ref sheet so well, and is so swishy and flowy, I couldn't be more pleased! In my opinion, my tail and mane are my two absolute favorite features of my suit of Ashiera. Colors are spot on, length and fullness are just what I wanted (though I honestly didnt expect it to turn out so full and long as I wanted, yet it did!)
These are quite comfortable to wear, though not being used to wearing crocs, they have taken some getting used to. These foot hooves are built around crocs shoes, sent in by me to the maker, fur her to build my hooves around, so fit is not an issue. The ankles are lined, down to the crocks, with the same custom printed material used in the head, adding to the comfortable wear-ability. They stay on my feet well, and do not expose my ankles when stretching, blending in seamlessly with the legs of my bodysuit
Outside looks, as with the rest of the suit is wonderful! It matches my ref sheet well. I have outdoor feet hooves, so the bottoms are an outdoor sole, made of a soft rubbery type material for durability. I am very happy with how they turned out!
