Features: Horns or Antlers, Hair / Wig Photos of Completed Product Overall Initial ContactI contacted Kemonokapi via email and within the same day, we got into a discussion about the requirements for a commission, what to expect, and what would happen on their end for the commission. Very clear and concise communication from them the whole way through! Maker CommunicationKemonokapi was top-notch with their communication all throughout my commission! Every step in the commission process was explained to me, every detail they were unsure about was brought up with me, and progress pics were shared with me regularly, making sure that they had my input every step of the way. I also appreciate them having a well-maintained Trello page, updating us regularly on Twitter and being able to chat on Telegram. They were also very friendly and professional in their communication, overall a very positive experience! Project Completion TimeAt the beginning of the project, I was told to expect the wait to be at least a year, but lo and behold the wait from initial contact to receiving the suit was exactly a year! I wasn't really given a concrete timeframe of when the suit would be completed, but being able to check their Trello queue also helped me estimate how long I can expect to wait. Lucky for me, I didn't have to deal with shipping as Kemonokapi was willing to arrange a local pickup instead. Overall Project QualityTo say I'm happy with the suit would be an understatement! Everything about the suit matched my vision and even exceeded my expectations in many regards! I'm very happy with the look of the suit, and it's always a comfortable experience whenever I put it on. The craftsmanship is very high quality and is what one would expect from a maker with years of experience! Components Head Wear SatisfactionThe head fits great! Pretty spacious inside but not loose at all, no tightness around the neck and nothing sticking out at me or jabbing me anywhere. There is enough padding to support your head and chin inside the head with no discomfort from long-term use. Overall quite comfortable! The mouth is a little small for facial ventilation but it is made up for through the 2 large (invisible to the outside) ventilation holes located at the base of either ear. Unless the air temperature is very warm, breathing is no problem, the air in the head doesn't get too stuffy and the eyes don't really fog up. There are also 2 quiet fans powered by battery located above the head which helps to lower the temperature and create air circulation. The fans' wires lead to a Velcro pouch in the head that can be used to store the batteries, as well as anything else you can carry around in your pockets. A very smart design decision! The large eyes help a lot to maximize your field of view but the spacing between the eyes allows for only one eye to focus at a time. I've had no issues with the head and I'm overall very satisfied! Visual SatisfactionThe look of the head turned out better than I expected! The cute happy expression is exactly what I had hoped for and I love the little eye-tracking effect that comes with it too! The hair doesn't obstruct vision at all and beautifully transitions to the back, down the neck and to the chest. All the features look perfectly symmetrical and all seem to be sturdy. The stitching and gluing has been concealed very well and is nearly undetectable in both fur and hard features alike. I didn't request for the facial expression to be changeable but I'm still very happy with the look of the head! One-Piece Body Wear SatisfactionWithout a doubt, the bodysuit fits perfectly! I don't feel squeezed anywhere throughout my body and I feel that I can move quite unrestrictedly. I really like how the padding located in the bottom half of the body and in the tail is able to be unzipped and removed for ease of washing or transportation and is perforated to allow for breathability. I also appreciate how the zipper on the front to enter the body is invisible when zipped up all the way! Where the padding doesn't contact my skin, the flat reverse side of the thick fur does, but there are no marks or materials that cause pain or discomfort on my skin in any way. I've had no issues with the body and I am again very satisfied! Visual SatisfactionI'm pretty happy with how the body turned out! The patterns are just like in the reference and the furs are as thick as I had hoped, and with seamless stitching too! My favourite part of the body by far is the look of the legs and tail — the thickness of the legs help to drive the kemono look and the tail bends and tapers off quite nicely! Hands Wear SatisfactionThe hands may look a little big but fit me very well! The size restricts the range of motion in the fingers a bit but it's a trade-off I'm happy to make. There's no discomfort or pain in my hands after a long use and takes quite some time to become warm. The inside of the pawpads help the make the hands feel cool and easy to grip but still allow ease of putting on and taking off. I've had no issues with the hands and I love wearing them! Visual SatisfactionBoth of the hands are identical and match the reference 1:1 but my favourite part of the look is how Kemonokapi makes them! I love how big and squishy the pawpads are, not to mention how cute the whole hand looks when I squeeze the fingers together. They are definitely one of my favourite parts of the suit and I never expected them to turn out as good as they did! Feet Wear SatisfactionThe feet fit well! The insides fit snugly around my feet and aren't at all cramped, and I'm able to move without modifying my walk much at all. The size of the feet are a little big but it's no problem for me as the large size is meant to match the thickness of the legs. I don't feel any discomfort after long term use and the feet take a while to heat up. I didn't request outdoor soles but the indoor soles still look new to me after having been used on a few different surfaces. Visual SatisfactionThe feet turned out just as I envisioned! Claws are good, colours are good, paws are good, pattern is good, not too much to be said other than I'm satisfied with what I got!
