Features: Hair / Wig Concept Art Photos of Completed Product Overall Initial ContactExtremely easy! When my maker announced commissions, they had a base price guide which was easy to work out! I still requested a quote through a form they set up, and that was easy to fill out! And the price that came back was exactly the same as the price I worked out myself based on the price sheet, again showing how accurate that is! My maker messaged me through Twitter to let me know they picked Blazen, and we moved to telegram to discuss the next steps! Maker CommunicationThe communication is of the absolute highest level! After finding out I was picked, we talked through every single aspect of the suit, such as fur colours, claws, eyes etc! Everything had photo examples so I could make decisions easier! And when it came to the making of the suit, I would receive regular updates! Anytime they progressed, I received a message and photo to show that! So not only was it amazing to see the process of Blazen being made, I was also comfortable knowing they put 100% of their time and effort into making my suit! My maker was a friend of a friend and I met them about 4 months before the commission and we got along really well very quickly! So communication was naturally very easy, but they were still very professional throughout the process which was nice to see! Between the progress photos, questions asking my opinion and time-related updates, I couldn’t have asked for an easier person to work with! The whole process was so relaxed and stress-free and I couldn’t be happier! Project Completion TimeI was in awe at the speed at which my maker worked! They gave an estimate, and absolutely smashed it! They put so much time and effort into making my suit, which made me feel prioritized! They only take on 1 commission at a time which was good to know, but even so they work so efficiently! The plan was to collect my suit at ConFuzzled and that was what happened! Overall Project QualityOverall, I couldn’t be any happier with my fursuit! Every single aspect is exactly what I hoped for, and exceeded expectations in every way! Like I said before, it’s so difficult to a 2D sona and turn it into a full on wearable fursuit! So I sit in awe knowing my maker had the exact vision and to take my ideas on board to create my fursuit! I genuinely had to hold back tears upon receiving him because I was so overwhelmed in a good way! 15 months have gone by since I picked him up, and he’s been worn to 2 Conventions, and so many furmeets all over the UK! And he still looks exactly the same as the day I got him, in terms of visually and how the fur feels! Transporting him is extremely easy too, he fits perfectly in a large duffel bag and I can fit extra items in there too such as accessories, a brush, badges and sprays! I genuinely feel that the value of my fursuit is way higher than what I actually paid for him! Especially when you consider the memories made with him, alongside the hundreds of compliments both in person or online, and the incredible photos that will stay for a lifetime! I picked this maker based off of their previous work, the thing I loved most was the fact that all of their suits made were so visually striking but also unique to themselves! That’s why I knew they were perfect to bring Blazen to life, and how right was I about that! I’m so happy my suit is one of a kind and personal to me, instead of it looking like a carbon copy to another persons suit! The fact he still looks brand new after 15 months gives me plenty of confidence he will last a long time! I’ve easily been able to establish a personality while wearing him, as well as knowing which poses suit his character most, and being a partial suit I can plan outfits accordingly too! The thing I love the most is how no matter what I wear, all the components of the suit work perfectly! Which means I can constantly change up my look and still get the same results! Components Head Wear SatisfactionThe head fits perfectly, the measurements are extremely accurate to my head size! It’s not loose and it’s not tight! The inside of the head uses a balaclava lined into it meaning I don’t have to wear a balaclava separately! The vision is amazing, even when I wear eyelids I can still see very well! Ventilation is also amazing on the head, and the mouth is the perfect size to put a handheld fan up to and allow a cool breeze! Because of this, I can wear the head for long periods of time without overheating! The head is also very easy and accessible when it comes to spraying with fursuit spray! You can into every corner with ease! Visual SatisfactionThe head is honestly exactly how I envisioned it based off of the ref sheet and other art commissions I had! It was quite hard to imagine how it would look initially having been used to Blazen only being a 2D drawing, but watching each step and seeing him come together, it exceeded all expectations! Even after 15 months he still looks just like the day I picked him up! You can easily tell a very high quality job was done with plenty of attention to detail! Every aspect of the head is symmetrical, and the fur is shaved very evenly too! All of the fur is mega fluffy and still feels and looks new to this day! Despite Blazen being vibrantly coloured with some distinct markings, everything was done according to the Ref Sheet and again he looked even better than I could imagine! The expression is adorable and definitely fits the vibe of the character, with eyelids that can change up his expressions and give him even more personality, such as neutral, flirty, sleepy and angry! The follow-me eyes are very effective and work exactly how described! Upper Body Wear SatisfactionAs part of a full partial, I received a pair of Arm-sleeves! I was very impressed with these as they fit perfectly to my body, like it genuinely couldn’t have been any more accurate! This means the sleeves stay in position the whole time I wear them, and are still mega easy to take off! The fur on the sleeves is mega fluffy, but still really easy to brush through! I’ve not encountered any issues with the arm-sleeves, and again after 15 months of wear they’re still like new! My biggest fear was getting too hot wearing them, as when I wear normal clothes I only wear long sleeves when it’s cold outside! But the airflow is good because even in summer, the heat doesn’t affect me in arm-sleeves like it would if I was wearing a jumper or long sleeve t-shirt! Visual SatisfactionMy biggest fear with the arm-sleeves was that longer fur would equate to markings not being seen as well, and fur colours not looking as sharp as shaved fur! But honestly it couldn’t look any better at all! All the colours are extremely vibrant and are striking, and the tiger pattern is very easy to see all the way along! I was in awe when I received them because I didn’t think it was possible for them to look as good as they did, so again my expectations were exceeded! Hands Wear SatisfactionThe hand paws fit my hands perfectly, and are the perfect length to tuck into long sleeve clothing or arm-sleeves! They are very comfortable to wear, and despite being 4 finger hand paws, it’s still easy enough to move them and pose for photos! They’re not too loose or tight, and I’ve got a good way of being able to get both hand paws on by myself without any help! Again the fur is clean and looks just like new, and the claws are immaculate too! As they’re puffy paw pads, they’re very comfy to wear, and despite having the padding it still doesn’t get too hot when wearing them! Visual SatisfactionThe hand paws are the simplest part of my fursuit, as there’s no pattern/markings and only 2 colours! But even so they’re still visually pleasing and the puffy paw pads really help elevate the character when it comes to posing for photos! I was curious because my claws were 3D printed claws, whereas the only other paws I had seen were soft! But I’m so glad mine are 3D printed because it makes them stand out more, not to mention how much fun it is to just tap random objects and make noise! Like above, everything is perfect and easy to brush, and the fur is still mega soft and like brand new! Tail Wear SatisfactionDespite its size, the tail is surprisingly easy and comfortable to wear! It really doesn’t weigh as much as it looks, meaning it’s easy to walk around with and easy to wag and shake it too! I do sometimes carry it due to its length, but that’s more because I don’t want it to drag across the stairs! It came with 2 belt loops, meaning it stays in position perfectly and I don’t have to worry about constantly readjusting it! I probably sound like a broken record now, but again the quality is immaculate and after 15 months the tail still looks brand new and is still mega soft! Visual SatisfactionWhen I designed my sona, I wanted to combine the fluffiness of a fox tail with the length of a tiger tail! So when it came to commissioning, I asked for the tail to be the same sort of length as the ref sheet, which was as long as possible without it dragging on the floor! So I genuinely couldn’t believe it when I wore the tail for the first time to see that the length is exactly spot on! There’s enough of a gap between the tail and the floor for me to not have to worry about it dragging, and I carry it when walking up and down stairs but that’s by choice! It’s visually stunning, like the head and arm-sleeves the tail is very colourful with loads of markings on it, but again everything is so clear and striking! It’s always so much fun to wear, and it’s hilarious spinning around in circles and having my tail fly like a helicopter blade! From start to finish, they have been incredible! Everything was clear and explained well, I knew what I was getting into because they laid out their work plans and what furs/parts they were using! And to receive regular updates with photos to show progress was just the icing on the cake! I feel so lucky to walk around wearing a suit that is one of a kind, true to its original ref sheet, and so fluffy and vibrant!
