Features: Hair / Wig Concept Art Photos of Completed Product Overall Initial ContactMy friend Raven told me about RadPanda, as he has a RadPanda suit himself! I contacted RadPanda originally through a Google Form for a quote, and from there on until the project was started, we talked via Gmail. After that, we switched to Telegram! RadPanda was very patient with me and gave me very clear instructions on how to take measurements! Maker CommunicationWe started talking via Gmail, then switched to Telegram. I can't begin to thank RadPanda enough for being so patient with me, as this was my first time commissioning a custom fursuit. They were so kind and provided many WIPs throughout the process! Project Completion TimeI was told the suit would be finished and shipped out by October of 2023, but due to running late on finishing up previous suits, I received my fursuit on December 5th, 2023. I absolutely have NO problem with a bit of a delay like this, as it didn't affect any con plans I had or anything else. Overall Project QualityOverall I am absolutely stunned at how beautiful and well constructed the suit came out. I couldn't have asked for a better maker to entrust my fursona to. I took my suit up to Canada with me recently for Furnal Equinox and had to stress test it a bit before putting it in a tote bag to come on the plane with me, and it bounced right back under pressure! The ears did get bent a bit due to being a specific position for a while, but again they bounced right back after a while! I've been given numerous compliments on how beautiful the colors look together, and I honestly give full credit to RadPanda for making that happen. Yeah, it was my fursona and the colors were there before hand, but RadPanda did such a great job at selecting colors that would match my fursona. It was one thing I was super worried about, but they couldn't have picked more beautiful, pleasing colors! Having paid around $3.4k USD for my suit, I absolutely feel the price was more than worthy for the product I received! Components Head Wear SatisfactionFit My last partial was so loose on me and felt almost unsafe to wear, but RadPanda did such a perfect job at fitting the partial to my head. It's perfectly snug and doesn't jostle around a ton if I shake my head. It feels absolutely great to put on and wear. There is one small spot on the left cheek near the eye that sometimes will poke into me, but it's very unnoticeable and is solved very easily by wearing a balaclava underneath! Ventilation The ventilation in this suit is PHENOMENAL! I'm able to very easily breathe through the mouth and air comes in amazingly through the eye mesh. I don't really get stuffy inside of it and the only reason I ever remove it is if I'm running low on stamina and need to sit down. I could very easily wear this head for hours at a time and not get TOO sweaty or hot. Vision There's a very big block of what I can see in front of me, much more than my last suit! I can't see much below my cheeks/nose, but that was the case with every fursuit I've put on. The bling spot in the center of my vision isn't nearly as bad as most other suits I've worn, and after wearing the head for a long period of time, it's almost completely unnoticeable. Visual SatisfactionSymmetry My sona's design is a bit rough to even draw sometimes, and I'm genuinely blown away by how spot on RadPanda got it on my suit! I was completely prepared to go into the commission process with "Hey, this needs to be changed here!" or altercations to the markings/marking placements, but not once did I see any reason to! Shaving The shaving is actually what really piqued my interest in commissioning RadPanda. I love a smooth, thin shave on my suits and I hadn't seen much cleaner shading than RadPanda's! Materials The fur is SO smooth to touch, and one spot I absolutely cannot get over is the hair. It's shaped so well and brushes out so nicely! The only spot I've noticed bleeding in is inside the head near that spot on the left cheek that occasionally touches my face. Again, found that can be resolved with a balaclava over my cheeks and nose. Expression The eyes. Are so. Expressive. I absolutely LOVE how the eyes look in every photo I have taken of myself! It's such a cute, puppydog style look that absolutely warms my heart. The shape and size of the head is absolutely perfect for travel as well, it fits perfectly in a large tote bag! Concept Art The maroon fur was a bit lighter than what RadPanda had seen on their sample card, but both of us believe it makes the suit have an overall warmer look! Very very pleased with how on the nose they were with the markings/colors. Got everything absolutely perfect! Hands Wear SatisfactionFit My paws are lined, and I absolutely love how they feel to wear! Though with them being lined, I do tend to sweat a bit more in them, which does cause them to slip off/be difficult to get back on occasionally. However, if I am to wear a very thin set of gloves UNDER the paws, the paws stay on perfectly and don't slip off nearly as much! I also find it very easy, when wearing thin gloves, to put my paws on with no help. Quality/Durability I've never had any issues with popped seams, tears, or anything coming out of place! Interior Like I said in the 'Fit' category, my paws are lined and it does make for a bit of sweat issues. But again, easily resolved with a thin pair of gloves! If I do sweat at all in them, the lining absorbs the sweat in a good manner that makes it not too difficult to clean. Visual SatisfactionSymmetry The paws are absolutely perfect in terms of symmetry. My paws are very simple. being only a dark brown/black with cream colored toes and pink paw pads. Not too much to go wrong with in terms of markings! Shaving Again, I love a very tight and short shave, and my paws have exactly that! The fur is able to be brushed very easily and looks marvelous! Materials I'm very pleased in the lining material and the paw pads!! They're both so soft and the paw pads feel great to squeeze when I close my hand into a fist. Colors Colors are perfect! Concept Art All markings are 100% true to the concept art! Tail Wear SatisfactionFit It's so comfy to wear! The belt loops are nice and tight to the tail base, making it sit wonderfully on my waist. It wags so nicely as well, has a great weight to it! Quality/Durability Nothing has ever popped nor even come close! I can tug on it and nothing feels unsecure or loose. Like I said, the straps are very securely attached to the base of the tail. Visual SatisfactionSymmetry The tail is very symmetrical! Markings all perfectly match my character's design! Shaving I LOVE how RadPanda shaved my tail! The first two colors of my tail are a short, smooth shave and the last 3 colors have a slightly longer fur! It blends perfectly and really gives the tail a fluffy, somewhat realistic look! Materials I've never felt softer fur on a fursuit tail before. It brushes so so nicely, it's like brushing my dog! The fur looks so slick and beautiful after a good wash and brush. Colors Colors are perfect! They match the character wonderfully. Movement Wagging the tail is the best feeling ever. The weight is perfectly and it sits so nicely on my waist. I personally love how it slightly bounces when I walk up or down stairs! Concept Art All markings and even the length are 100% true to the concept art! Feet Wear SatisfactionFit It's like walking on clouds. Absolutely SO comfortable to wear, though I don't wear them too much due to not really having a good place to do so (tight areas, tripping hazards on the ground, etc.). I certainly have wiggle room inside them, but I don't mind! I either wear a pair of Converse inside them or I wear two layers of socks to keep my feet steady inside. Very easy to put on; I can nearly slip them on without having to use my hands at all. Only to pull the ankle fur around where it needs to be. Quality/Durability I've never had any problems with them! No popped seams and no damage! Interior My feetpaws are lined! Makes them SO comfortable to wear without shoes. I've never had any issues with cleaning them, they wash perfectly. Visual SatisfactionSymmetry The design is the exact same as my handpaws! Very simple, everything lines up great. The feetpaws have such a nice shape to them as well. Not too bulky and nothing is lopsided! Shaving Once again, same as my handpaws! A very smooth, tight shave that really shows off the great shape of the paws! Materials Very easy to brush and nothing bleeds off when washing! The interior material used to line is so silky smooth and feels great to have against my hands as opposed to unlined.
