Overall

Initial ContactVery easy. I initially placed a bid for her custom fursuit auction slot on The Dealer's Den and then contacted her later through Twitter.

Maker CommunicationScarlet and I initially contacted through Twitter, and then moved onto Telegram in order to streamline the messaging process.
I believe I was treated fairly and she was straightforward with each step of the process of the commission, showing me the step by step process as well as what fursuit part she was working on next, as well as WIPs.

Project Completion TimeI was given an ETA date of Summer 2023 and the project took exactly 9 months to complete from initial contact to August when shipping the suit out. I was given clear communication on the suit progress throughout the entire process and my timeline expectations were met perfectly.

Overall Project QualityI am extremely happy with the way Couchy turned out. Even though he was initially a premade design on Scarlet's trello, I selected him because of his complimenting design and beautiful blue color scheme, and have since worn him to two conventions; ACFI & MFF since receiving him and will wear him to even more future conventions. I have also received many compliments and requests for pictures at these two conventions while wearing him and people say the suit has an adorable style, which makes me quite happy. Another thing I personally like is Scarlet's "slim" digitigrade padding for the suits. This makes the suit much easier to pack when traveling by air and is a lot more practical to move around in.

Overall, I personally believe all of my expectations for the suit were met, the price I paid was fair, and there are no major issues with the fitting or markings whatsoever, and the style and fursuit pieces are consistent with other felines that Scarlet has made.

Components

Head

Wear SatisfactionCouchy's head is quite easy to wear with no issues putting it on. The inside is lined and the ventilation is great. There is a built in fan with a sewn in pocket for small portable batteries to be connected with a USB cable. The vision is quite decent, and I can clearly see what is infront of me at all times while wearing the head.

I personally believe his head is the best part of the suit. 10/10!

Visual SatisfactionThe head is symmetrical and the fur markings match the reference sheet. Shave quality is excellent as well; I have no issues to report with the visual quality of the shave job and the face fur feels smooth to the touch. I thoroughly enjoy Couchy's happy expression, along with the more sultry expression when the magnetic eyelids are placed over the eyes, and I feel Scarlet did a fantastic job at giving him a more cutesy look when shaping the original headbase for him. The poofy blue hair on the head looks amazingly adorable as well and included was an extra longue tongue for silly expressions! 10/10.

One-Piece Body

Wear SatisfactionPutting the bodysuit on is quite easy, just pull down the zipper and slide your legs in. The bodysuit is comfortable to wear and I am able to move around easily in it. The interior lining is tight so there is no issue putting it on at all, and I can feel the air through my arms and legs whenever a fan is nearby. The bodysuit sewing feels durable and firm as a whole. 10/10

Visual SatisfactionThe symmetry of the bodysuit matches the markings on the reference sheet, and the fur used was the high quality lux shag from Big Z. I believe the blend of different shades of blue colors gave the overall fullsuit a very vibrant blue look that complimented one another very well, as there were 4 different shades of blue fur used for the suit in its entirety!
I can tell that there was some amount of shaving done on the chest and the stripes, but I think the shave job could have been more refined to show the stripe markings and different blue color contrast more easily. I can however just spend a bit more time brushing the suit so that the markings stand out though!

Hands

Wear SatisfactionI am satisfied with the way the handpaws feel. My wrists are fully covered and I can put them on without any issue, other than having a helper pull the arm sleeve over the other hand. The interior is lined and the structural quality is firm. The interior lining of the handpaws are slightly loose, sometimes making it a tiny struggle to wiggle my pinkie finger inside the last paw digit though, but this is a very minor issue.

Visual SatisfactionThe shave quality of the hand sleeves and paw pads are great, but I personally believe some amount of shaving could have been done on the handpaw fur themselves rather than no shaving at all. I say this because every time I try to put the handpaws on, I have to tug the armsleeve over the handpaw seams which causes the fur to mat and become scrunched on the handpaws, requiring me to brush it immediately after putting them on to make the fur look smooth again. I also think the claws could have been a bit bigger and more prominent, as right now they look like small stubs on the tips of the digits.

Tail

Wear SatisfactionThe tail is sewn onto the bodysuit, meaning I do not have to manually attach the tail to the bodysuit with a hidden tail hole at the waist area! This makes it very convenient and less time consuming. I believe the tail is firmly and securely sewn on as well, as I do not have any issues with it feeling like it's constantly dangling.

Visual SatisfactionThe tail symmetry is excellent and was created similarly to an actual tiger's tail from the way it was based off the reference sheet. The shaving on the tail is okay, but it could have been smoother. It just means I have to spend a few extra minutes brushing the tail before use to give it a clean cut look. I also asked Scarlet to make the tail a specific length of 48 inches and I believe she did a wonderful job at measuring the tail to be very close to that! The fur colors used match the rest of the suit.

Feet

Wear SatisfactionThe feetpaws are easy to move in and can be worn firmly without them sliding off. However, the interior lining of the feet is somewhat loose and it can sometimes be a struggle to put them on without tearing the lining, which I have unfortunately done with the left footpaw (but I have now fixed).

Visual SatisfactionThe feetpaws are of decent shave quality and the black claws look good on the white toes. I personally believe Scarlet could work on providing options for bigger, stompier feetpaws as well as changing the shape of the heel for digitigrade suits so that the top of the heel aligns with the leggings of the digi bodysuit better.

I'm not saying there's something wrong with the feetpaws! I just mean this is an area she can improve on in the future.
