Overall

Initial ContactIt couldn’t have been easier! We first made contact through his own website, which moved to email, which moved to discord. VERY easy to understand what Kabber needed from me!

Maker CommunicationIf Kabber were anymore of a sweetheart to work with, he’d give me cavities. Super effective communications, and almost always had a W.I.P picture with him!

Very pleasant to work with, and open to any questions, suggestions, and comments/critiques. Never short, impolite, or angry. Always maintained a professional, but friendly and approachable demeanor.

If there was a delay in showing progress (which literally only happened once didn’t last long at all), he communicated why, but not as an “excuse”. There was no long-winded pity-party. He literally said

“Heyo! Got real sick this past week and just started getting better, but I do plan on having your suit all done this month!” (This promise was fulfilled, by the way).

Project Completion TimeBEYOND satisfied! Kabber had a deadline of 4 months, and completed the suit in 3. Mind you, with beautiful quality, inside and out, in 3 months.

I had my suit just before Furry Weekend Atlanta! I was able to get not only the suit, but everything else I’d need for maintenance before the con!

Overall Project QualityI couldn’t be happier with Doxa. I was in a state of euphoria when I first received him, and couldn’t stop gilgging and gasping. He was, and is so beautiful.

Overall, he’s very durable and well-built! Other than the feet paws (which again, could have been a personal issue), the whole suit has stayed intact for al the time I’ve worn him (and I wore him QUITE a bit!)

Kabber EXCEEDED my expectations by 100 miles! It was beyond worth the price, too! You don’t run into this kind of quality for this kind of price now-a-days!

Everything fits quite nicely! Arm sleeves are a tad baggy, but I can fix that myself with a simple arm-band.
The product is not only consistent with my maker’s style, but I think that my fursuit is even BETTER than my maker’s previous projects (at least the ones I saw and took note of when commissioning them)… though I’m probably very biased.

Components

Head

Wear SatisfactionSUPER DUPER Lightweight and comfortable! Though it’s a one-size fits all head, it feels just right on me! Relatively good vision considering it’s a fursuit (there’s always the blindspot in the middle, but it comes with the craft). Lined with super comfortable fabric too!

Great ventilation as well! Air-flow was top notch!

Visual SatisfactionHE IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BOY EVER! A 1:1 replica of my ref sheet! Everything is simply perfect!

Perfectly symmetrical (shape-wise. The character is naturally asymmetrical).

All of the shaving on the fur is fantastic! Slightly choppy on the nose, but literally just a little bit. Hardly noticeable, especially after a good brushing.

Material is soft, shiny, and bright! Beautiful furs were used!!! No markings rub off, or bleed, as no parts of the suit were air-brushed. Static eyes, but still VERY EXPRESSIVE!

Upper Body

Wear SatisfactionBeautiful, shiny, with a comfortable luxurious feel. The arm sleeves are a bit baggy on my shoulders, but I can just wear a wristband on it to fix that.

Easy to slip-on and maintain! Very durable! No lining, but there was no need, as I’d be wearing under-armour anyhow.

Like the head airflow is fantastic. Now that I think about it, I didn’t notice the arm sleeves getting hot AT ALL!

Visual SatisfactionAbsolutely stunning! Bright and shiny! Perfectly symmetrical and accurate to my ref! Same notes apply here as my head!

Hands

Wear SatisfactionThe hands fit me perfectly! No notes whatsoever! They’re comfortable, soft, and just like the other parts of the fursuit, are shiny when brushed! Very durable as well!

No lining, but no need for lining, as it is simply so comfortable.

Visual SatisfactionThe hand paws are simply gorgeous. I love them to pieces!

Perfectly symmetrical, with claws all facing the right direction. Even shaving (that’s honestly very impressive).

BEYOND satisfied with the colors used (I picked them myself!)

Tail

Wear SatisfactionComfortable, and very VERY waggable! Durable as well!

Visual SatisfactionStunning work! Couldn’t be more accurate to my reference! Perfectly Symmetrical with even shaving!

The tail moves beyond my expectations! It lies comfortably behind me, and wags in such a wonderful way!

Feet

Wear SatisfactionComfortable, slipper-like feet. A little tight around the ankles, which caused a small seam to pop from the back, but it didn’t cause the foot to unravel. Simply made it easier to put on, so no complaints.

Thin bottoms, but surprisingly comfortable to walk in! I walked and danced in those paws for hours on end, and my feet didn’t hurt not one bit!

The material inside is a velvety pillow-like lining that’s very comfortable!

The overall feet are durable, yet soft. The claws, however, are a bit floppy. One of them had come loose and was hanging by a thread during a rave (granted, I think someone stepped on it, and I pulled my foot back, causing the rip). This however, was very easily fixed (shoutout to FWA’s fursuit repair station!)

Visual SatisfactionVery beautiful! The claws are a bit floppy, but this is a small critique for an otherwise BEAUTIFUL job!

The shaving is very impressive! Like the other parts of the fursuit, the feet give off a pristine shine! Symmetrical, even, and accurate to the ref!

Special FeaturesMy suit came with magnetic eyelids that are SO FUN to wear, and add to his expressiveness. Good stick-on to the fursuit head. They fall off ONLY with heavy dancing.

Lightweight and durable, without taking away from the vision!

Final CommentsKabber is a joy to work with, and he delivers TOP QUALITY work. And for the price?!?!

Kabber Creations is the quintessential example of why we as a fandom need to support smaller makers. Because for such work to be delivered in such a wonderful way all around and to not be more popular is honestly absurd.

The final product, the customer service, the clear love for the craft. It doesn’t get much better, really.

I’ve heard horror stories about big-name makers. running off with money, or fursuit makers making excuses for why they haven’t finished building a commission from 2 years ago. Kabber works quickly, but efficiently. He had a 4 month deadline (for FWA), and completed the suit in 3.

Doxa was my first fursona that REALLY stuck with me. And Kabber made my boy real!

Wonderful work. I would recommend Kabber Creations to ANYONE seeking a fursuit (I already have to a few friends).
