Overall Initial Contact Jesdena has an Instagram where I initially found them, as well as a website and a discord server that I got information through. It was very easy to send in an application or ask questions through these platforms. Maker Communication I’m very happy with how communicative they were! They included me in every step of the process and got my feedback for all of it, despite the time zone differences. I never had to wait over a day or so for a response either. They were always friendly and open about things and I never felt like a bother for asking questions. Project Completion Time I ended up at the end of the queue so it took a little bit longer to finish, but I never felt like it was pushed to the side or forgotten. There were always updates on what they were currently working on and expectations for completion time even if it got extended slightly for whatever reason. The shipping was honestly quicker than I expected! No issues there either.
Overall Project Quality Overall I am THRILLED with how Drift turned out and I will always recommend Jesdena as a fursuit maker. The quality is exceptional for the price. Nothing substantial has been torn or damaged through regular use, and is very easy to maintain. They also sent some goodies from Australia as well as a brush, balaclava, fur swatch sheet, care sheet, and more!! I wouldn’t hesitate (and intend to) commission them again in the future.
Components
Head Wear Satisfaction The head is super comfy to wear! It’s lined with breathable material that’s easy to clean and is SO lightweight— I’m always showing off how little it weighs haha. This was the first time Jesdena made a suit specifically to be worn with glasses, and for a first try, I’m super happy with it! I can easily slip it on and off with my glasses on while not being too loose. It is still slightly loose though so I have to tilt my head up a little to keep it level, but not terribly noticeable and doesn’t hinder the overall experience. The eyesight is incredible, with only a small blind spot in the middle and of course the sides, but in comparison with other suits I’ve tried on, I have absolutely no complaints. I have had to reglue the eyelid Velcro on a couple times, though it’s simple enough to fix. I can easily put a fan into the mouth if it gets too warm for ventilation as well if needed. The tongue is also removable via Velcro and is just adorable. The craftsmanship and care that is put into these suits is 100% noticeable
Visual Satisfaction I am absolutely IN LOVE with this suit!! I couldn’t have asked for a better maker with my character. The shapes of the head and accuracy of the markings are incredible, and there’s only a couple tiny spots where the shaving got a little close (but that’s just nitpicking). Jesdena took my concept art and made an absolutely gorgeous costume from it! I love the way the fur blends into different lengths and how crisp and clean the markings/color change areas are. I also love the 3d printed jewelry that was made, and especially the pick-able nose!! Hands Wear Satisfaction I love wearing these paws, and they actually have pretty good dexterity! (Considering the style) They are not lined on the inside so they fit more loosely on my hands and tend to slip a bit though (one size fits all). The pillows on the inside help and are easy to take out/put in as needed. The minky cuff also makes them very comfortable to wear when I don’t have a long sleeve on. So far they have held up incredibly well and everything feels very sturdy!
Visual Satisfaction The puffy paws are so much fun, I love the shape and style of the paw pads/fingers!! The trimmed stripes on the top look amazing, and any way I hold them for pictures is a good angle! Tail Wear Satisfaction Hey guess what? I’m super happy with the tail too!! The shape is perfectly feline, and is just barely long enough to not touch the ground while walking in most places . It sits comfortably with two belt loops to attach to, keeping it sturdy and very nicely in place. So far the belt loops and base have been very resilient. It’s surprisingly lightweight as well, with a good amount of bounce and wag if I’d like it to!
Visual Satisfaction I was so SO excited to see that Jesdena included the fur shapes in between colors rather than just doing straight lines. It adds so much character that I’m just super happy with. The way it sits while wearing is very nice and doesn’t look weird at different angles at the base Feet Wear Satisfaction These feetpaws are so comfortable! They have an inner slip-on shoe and are built from foam so they feel very sturdy. The lining on the inside is super nice and makes it very easy to take on and off. The soles on the bottom have worn out a bit, but with how much I’ve used them it’s to be expected at this point haha
Visual Satisfaction I love the way the feetpaws look!! The shape of the toes and the digi style work great even without a full suit. The shaving is smooth on the toes as well and is easy to brush out and clean. There’s also not too much overlay of fur where the bottom part meets the top.
Special Features I asked for a pair of eyelids and 3d printed earrings/septum ring, and they all turned out fantastic! I love the sassy look with the eyelids on, even though (as mentioned before) they’ve had to be glued again a few times.
