She's wonderful to work with and honestly, I'm so glad I met her at all because she has become my best friend over the 4-5 years I've known her. I met her through a mutual friend on Telegram and then we ended up getting really close. I asked her about a cost estimate for my fursona's tail first, then when I loved the tail, I got the quote for my head. She got the internal measurements for me for the head size I wanted and it was true to size! Maker Communication10000% happy! She constantly sent me WIPS and chatted with me about what things she would like to experiment with (The ear vents, the eyes that are Blacklight reactive, etc) and honestly, she treated me like family through the entire process. She did move from Tennessee to Texas to which I happily helped her and her husband move in and settle into their new home and I made her take time off my commission to rest and get situated. She never makes excuses and she never cheaps out on ANYTHING. Project Completion TimeThere was a small queue and I was able to track it all on her Trello board. Everything went according to plan and everything was done pretty quick even when I made her rest to settle into her home. I never had to have it shipped because I was able to go to her home to do the final reveal and test fitting. Overall Project QualityI will be completely honest here. I did NOT have high hopes for 2.0. Not because of the maker herself, but because spots. Lots of spots. And I know it's annoying lol. Then there was the hair…. I wasn't sure how it was gonna work but when the big reveal came, I couldn't help but cry and hug her for the longest time. Not only did she exceed my expectations, but she brought her to life in a way I never thought I'd see. Every piece matches flawlessly and was way worth the price paid. I actually think this is her best work and she could easily charge $2800 for just a head alone. But. That's just me. As I have worn Eclipse, there is nothing that has torn, popped, gotten extremely gross, or anything! When I say this suit is perfect in every way, she really is perfect in every way. The NFC tags all work as well so there is literally nothing wrong with this suit <3 Components Head Wear SatisfactionAbsolutely a dream! She is super comfortable, has plenty of space for my glasses and she was made a bit bigger so I could add or remove a hand made foam pillow insert to either keep the head loose and spacious, or to give more control. The ventilation is AMAZING!! There are hidden vents in her ears, and she has an open smile and big eyes to provide even more ventilation. The lining material is smooth and cooling. It was lined with Neoprene which is a material I quite enjoy and it wicks sweat pretty well! There is a blind spot as with any suit and it's directly in front of you and down where a child could stand (You can see through the mouth so if you're paying attention, you'll see a small child's approach!) but also has peripheral vision troubles. The peripheral vision isn't bad! It's actually way better than my 1.0 suit, but as with any head, you do have to turn to look around you. My only downside to this suit is unfortunately I wear glasses and I like to try to be active. I have endometriosis which makes my body have issues with temperatures so it does fog up my glasses at times when I'm really moving around. This can be resolved with a fan prop which I do have! Visual SatisfactionWhere do I even begin??? This suit brought tears to my eyes because to me, she's the most beautiful suit I've ever seen. She is sleek and looks like a wolf where as my first one kinda had cat vibes with a wider muzzle and short ears. Eclipse has no issues with the design, her markings, or shaving/blending. She is easy to keep clean and brush (I actually really enjoy brushing her because she's really soft). She has follow me eyes and sparkly eyelids that can captivate and draw ones attention to her. I've been able to take many photos with her and tik tok videos and it feels like she can accomplish almost any expression. Determination Studios ROCKED the entire suit. I am eagerly awaiting my chance to commission her again! (Or maybe for like 3 or more suits… I'm a sucker for her work!) Before I forget, Eclipse's hair has the white streaks that are super important to me because my own hair naturally has a lot of little silver strands that look like "Starlight". So when I incorporated it into her design, I was confident there was no way to achieve that look. NOPE. She nailed that too! Upper Body Wear SatisfactionShe actually taught me how to make arm sleeves! She walked me through the steps and we each got to finish an arm each! I was really shocked how fast we were able to knock those out, even with the tedious spots! It fits me very well! It's looser near the top and elbow for easy moveability and tighter at the wrist to give it a sleek look. I've only been able to wear it for about a week because we actually pumped these out for TFF! If I'm honest, I'm really in love with these because I'm confident in the quality and durability but also because they're lined with lycra which keeps me nice and cool (Thanks Texas heat for being a pain lol). Super easy to brush, wear, and keep clean. This suit is actually one of my easier to clean suits and honestly I think she might be indestructible! Visual SatisfactionI couldn't be happier! Eclipse's spots are random but the pattern used ensured symmetrical size/wear for the sleeves. We never needed to shave the fur because of what was picked. The sleeves are just as soft and beautiful as the head and I absolutely love how she looks altogether! It was amazing getting to work alongside Determination Studios during this! (I know I'm writing this review after we partnered up for her business, but seriously. Getting to watch her work is MAGICAL. She sews quickly and each stitch is consistent. I've seen her knock out a partial in mere months. I had her take longer on mine because she's my friend and I trust her entirely.) Hands Wear SatisfactionThe hand paws are amazing to wear! They feature a dewclaw on them for extra depth, but the most exciting part for me is that I can easily slip them on and off and they have lycra lining which keeps me cool! Not to mention, with these paws I can grab stuff easier. My other paws I have for her are monster paws from 1.0's design. No popped seams, no issues whatsoever! I feel like I've been missing out for years now that I have this suit. Visual SatisfactionIt's beautiful, sleek, and once again, super soft! These are super easy to clean and brush without it getting all wonky. There was no shaving for these as beaver fur was used on the fingers! They also have a beautiful cuff that matches her eyelids so even if seen when poodling (yes, it's hot here lol) it still looks intentional and very artistic. The pads and claws are minky for softness, and the paws themselves are lightly stuffed! (She actually surprised me with these paws for the con to which I had found out I was going literally last minute after a booth event for my small business and she knocked these out QUICK. Like…. 2-3 days quick. She's the Flash of sewing I swear!) Tail Wear SatisfactionSo I got Eclipse's tail before the head (It was commissioned the year before) and it is long. But it looks super good with Eclipse and is easy to move around with, there are no "knocking a child out" moments with this tail unless you spin around hella fast to which I can't do well lol. The straps are secure and hidden under her very large maker tag which also acts as a backup tail loop. Now let me tell you about the SECOND tail. I wasn't expect this at all but when she made my hand paws, she also made me a shorter tail to make getting used to the con way easier. TFF will be my first con and I was a bit worried about getting tired from walking with my suit on so this was something she surprised me with to give me more peace of mind. Just like the first tail, it is extremely secure and it is a super cute tail!! Visual SatisfactionTail 1: Absolutely amazing! I wasn't too sure about the shaving on the moon marking for the tail but I've come to like it <3 This tail is long and it is a lot to brush but it's nothing like a floor dragger tail (thank goodness LOL) Cleaning is super quick and easy, the fur matches the quality throughout the suit and it moves super well! Tail 2: Okay, okay guilty confession…. this is my favorite of the two. I don't know why but it gives her a more feminine vibe which suits me some days but also the way it moves is way too cute and fun! It also doesn't completely eat the floor if I squat which is a bonus for cleanliness! Feet Wear SatisfactionOkay, I am REALLLLLLY picky with feet paws, due to my endo and due to some old hip, ankle, and knee injuries I have. Sock paws are not for me and I absolutely HAVE to have support. I bought some sketchers slip on shoes for these so they actually will grip my feet and they're super light weight so they hardly affected the weight of the paws. DJ taught me how to make these as well! I did one foot and followed along as she did the other. These are Digi feet paws and they have the mat on the bottom but also an additional mat that is way more durable and is way harder to tear up. When wearing these, they are a bit heavy but you gotta remember, fur, foam, shoes, claws, and the extra foam bottom. At first I was a bit unsure of the weight but it's super easy to get used to and with these, I absolutely cannot roll my ankle no matter how hard I try (Now if I do something stupid then yeah I may have a fullbody fall on the ground but I am usually cautious anyways lol). The inside is lined once more with lycra and it's super easy to put on and take off. The shoes I picked have the back heel support (Think of flat shoes) so for me it takes me a tiny bit longer to put on and take off because I have to adjust as needed but once they're on, they're on to stay. I can kick and swing my feet, and they will not come off. It's a wonderful trade off to ensure my safety and comfort is met. I will let you know that her personal feet paws are more of a slip on without a heel backing so those are easy to slip on and off but it all depends on the shoes you pick or if you pick no shoes at all! Visual SatisfactionEverything on these paws is symmetrical even with me following along in the process of making them. These feature beaver fur for the toes, minky claws, normal fur on the front and a strip of slightly longer fur along the back for more depth. Everything looks highly professional and the materials used on the bottom are a high quality I have never seen before! She seriously couldn't do a better job because these are AWESOME!!! Special FeaturesI have glow in the dark eyes on my suit and also a uv/blacklight reactive part within the eyes which is absolutely breathtaking. She also put NFC tags in each paw pad of my hand paws, and on my nose so that way people can tap their phone to be able to follow me and my business along with joining my discord server which is SUPER neat! With them being inside the suit parts, they never move, they are still cleaner friendly, and are pretty darn invisible and weightless.
