Contacting the maker was really easy. I simply went to their Twitter account and sent them a message asking about the possibility of commissioning my first suit, and they were more than happy to help. We discussed the materials and overall cost, and I was very satisfied with both the price and their responsiveness.
I first found out about the availability of commissioning a suit through the maker’s Twitter account. I noticed that they make suits, and I had previously purchased a furry badge in 2024 for a convention that they would be vending at (Anthrocon 2024). I contacted them via Twitter messages and commissioned my suit by paying them directly. I understood exactly what the maker needed from me to ensure the suit would fit perfectly, and I was more than willing to provide that information. In the future, when it comes to the DTD, I’m confident there will be no issues getting everything figured out for my full-body suit.
The maker never took too long to get back to me, and I understood that they were busy, so I was happy to be patient. I felt very well treated—there was never any negativity in our interactions, and it often felt like we were friends rather than a customer and a seller. Their communication was upfront and professional, especially when discussing prices and payment plans. They spoke to me like a friend, but remained firm and professional in business matters, which is exactly what you want in a fursuit maker.
It took a few months to complete the suit, but it was a large fursuit project for them, and they also had other commissions in their queue, including digital and physical art, scheduled ahead of mine. Waiting was never an issue, especially since I still had payments to make, so there was no rush. All dates and timelines were clearly communicated, and I was never left in the dark. I was able to discuss shipping and completion times whenever needed. My suit was shipped promptly and arrived exactly when expected. I was provided a tracking number and received my suit without any issues.
Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the suit I commissioned. The quality is amazing, and it’s visually appealing while also being durable. There are minor imperfections here and there, but I’m never the type to focus on negatives—there’s always room for improvement.
When it comes to the feet paws, I was more concerned than frustrated; I wanted to ensure my suit stayed in the same condition as when it arrived. Seeing any damage made me sad, but I’m happy that I can work with the maker to have it repaired so I won’t have to worry about that again. The same goes for the hair on the suit—it was a minor concern because I wanted to ensure that when I wear Vixen, nothing falls out unexpectedly. This temporarily limited some of my plans, but I hope to send the head back along with the feet paws for repairs so I can enjoy wearing him more in the future.
The project exceeded my expectations tenfold, and I believe it was worth every penny. I was able to set up a flexible payment plan with no restrictions—I could pay whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, as long as the suit would only get started on and be shipped once fully paid. I commissioned the suit on January 29, 2025, and received it in August of the same year. The expected completion date was before October, so they finished two months early, which was fantastic.
With proper care, the suit looks like it will last a long time. Once a few minor issues I’ve mentioned are addressed, I don’t anticipate any quality problems. All of the first components—the arm sleeves, hand paws, and their connections—fit perfectly. Nothing overlaps uncomfortably, and the pieces feel snug and cohesive, almost as if the design is one complete unit. Everything fits just right—nothing is too big or too tight, and the symmetry is excellent. This first suit perfectly reflects the artist’s style, and I can see their skills improving with every new creation.
It feels nice and snug—there’s no struggle putting the head on, and it fits just right. There’s nothing inside that pokes me while I’m walking around, and it’s actually quite spacious while still feeling secure. The head is very breathable, especially when I have a fan running. The maker was kind enough to gift me a fan that I can use while suiting, and it really helps with airflow during long periods of wear. Visibility has never been a problem for me; I can see pretty well from about my chest level up to almost the ceiling, and from the sides, I’d say I have about 50% of normal vision. When it comes to talking to people, I do have to turn toward whoever is speaking since I can’t just turn my head—I usually move my entire body instead, which has never been an issue for me.
From the way the head was made, I think it came out perfectly. The facial markings match the reference sheet exactly, and the vibrant colors make the character look beautiful overall. The shaving is mostly even; there are slight imperfections if you look closely, but they’ve never really been an issue for me.
The material feels durable and doesn’t seem like the kind that would easily wear down or rub off—it definitely doesn’t feel cheap. Overall, in terms of expression and appearance, I’d say the head looks amazing. I get tons of compliments at conventions about how it looks and how pretty it is, and I really enjoy how I feel while expressing myself as the character.
As for how well it matches the concept art, I’d say they did a great job. With the full body suit still to be made, I’m confident there won’t be a single detail missed when the character is fully brought to life.
I really love what they did with the arm sleeves. They added an elastic band connecting to both arms so I can wear them under a shirt without worrying about them slipping or falling off, even while walking around or making more frantic arm movements. They stay securely in place without any issues, and they’re not too tight or restrictive at all when I’m moving around in my suit.
The interior of the sleeves is very comfortable. I usually wear a shirt over them with my arms inside the sleeves, so there’s constant contact, but I’ve never felt any discomfort. They’re also quite breathable—my arms never feel squished or squeezed. When I take the sleeves off, there are no marks or imprints on my skin, which shows they aren’t too tight.
The sizing is also spot-on. The sleeves were measured perfectly, so when I wear my hand paws, the length lines up just right—not too long or too short.
Overall, with how Vixen looks as a whole, they did an amazing job bringing him to life. There were never any issues with details like the size of the tail or the color patterns—they made sure everything matched the reference sheet perfectly. I’m really happy with how he turned out, and it means a lot to me that he was able to come to life.
He’s very symmetrical, and all of his body parts match the colors from the ref sheet. He’s a big fox with a lot of love and expression put into him—something I’m more than proud to share with everyone I meet while wearing Vixen. You can tell they put a lot of effort into him, and I truly appreciate the work they’ve done. I would absolutely commission more from them in the future (like the full body suit I’m currently working on paying off).
The hands fit really well—they’re neither too tight nor too loose, and it’s easy to move my fingers while wearing them. The material inside isn’t uncomfortable; it’s cozy both inside and out. Out of the entire suit, I’d say the paws are the most durable. They’re sewn together very neatly, and my hands don’t get overly sweaty while wearing them.
The paws are very symmetrical—there’s nothing wrong with either of them, and they almost look identical if it weren’t for the fact that they’re mirrored for the left and right hands. They’re visually appealing and feature lovely paw beans on top of the vibrant orange color of my Fursona. The colors match my reference sheet perfectly, and they feel really soft to the touch. This makes interacting with others or using my hands to touch or feel things completely comfortable for both parties.
I am very satisfied with my tail—it’s a key feature for me, especially at conventions. It’s very recognizable and quite large, so people can easily notice it and point it out when they see me. The tail does drag on the floor, which requires a bit of maintenance, but that’s never been a problem for me, as I love it just as much as I love wearing it. The material is very durable.
The only minor concern I’ve noticed is with the belt strap; it seems to loosen slightly the longer I wear it (due to the sheer massive size of the tail, being almost the size of my entire torso when held against me). I might need to bring this to the maker’s attention at some point, as I don’t want the tail to come off and become unwearable. Despite that, it’s fairly secure, and I absolutely love the tail.
The tail looks absolutely beautiful and matches my reference sheet perfectly in terms of color and design. Overall, it’s a great representation of who I am as a fox. It’s quite large and very fluffy, which does make movement a little challenging, but that’s never been an issue for me. It gives me a slight wobble, but since my character is on the fuller side, it will make more sense once I have the full body suit—the slower movement fits the character naturally.
Wearing a tail for the first time, I feel extremely proud of how this one turned out. Considering how difficult white is to keep clean, it’s remarkable that it rarely gets dirty even when dragging on the floor. I can truly feel the love and effort that went into making the tail perfect, both in terms of balance and wearability.
The feet fit really well—they’re snug and never feel like they’re coming loose. The quality is excellent, and it’s clear that a lot of time and effort went into making sure they’re both large and comfortable, with nicely sized claws that look great. The interior has a soft fabric lining that doesn’t absorb sweat while walking around; I’d say I sweat the least in the feet compared to the rest of the suit.
For durability, I initially chose magnetic paw bases for the suit, but that turned out to be less secure and comfortable than expected. While suiting, the magnets weren’t strong enough to secure the bases on the convention floors, meaning I had to go without them. This caused some minor damage to the material on the feet. I’ve discussed this with the maker, and I plan to send the feet back for repairs, as well as explore alternatives like sandals for the fursuit.
The feet paws are very symmetrical—you can’t really tell that one is better or worse than the other, as both are evenly made and match each other perfectly. The shaping is smooth, and aside from the minor issues discussed previously, there are no imperfections. The colors are vibrant and match my Fursona’s reference sheet exactly. Overall, the color placement follows my design perfectly, and I feel they are an ideal representation of my character.

The suit itself exceeded my expectations in every way. The head is snug and comfortable, breathable, and well-designed, allowing me to see clearly and move freely. I can turn my body easily to speak with others since the head doesn’t rotate on its own, and I’ve never felt restricted while wearing it. The facial markings, vibrant colors, and overall design match my reference sheet perfectly. The interior is comfortable, and the material feels durable, soft, and high-quality. It’s clear that a lot of love and care went into every detail, and the head feels expressive, symmetrical, and professional.
The arm sleeves and hand paws fit perfectly. The elastic bands keep the sleeves in place under clothing, and the paws are comfortable, durable, and soft to the touch. I never feel restricted or sweaty, and the symmetry and color match my reference sheet exactly. I can use my hands freely for interacting with others, and everything connects together so naturally that the suit feels cohesive and complete.
The feet paws are equally well-made. They are snug and secure, with large claws and soft, breathable interiors. Initially, I experimented with magnetic bases, which didn’t work perfectly on convention floors, but the maker has been supportive about repairs and adjustments, and I’m confident any issues will be resolved. The feet are symmetrical, vibrant, and match the reference sheet perfectly, with no noticeable imperfections aside from minor things that were already discussed.
The tail is a standout feature for me. It’s large, fluffy, and visually striking, making it easily recognizable at conventions. While it does drag slightly on the floor, it requires minimal maintenance and has held up remarkably well—especially considering the white color, which is difficult to keep clean. The tail is balanced and durable, and I love how it complements my character. There is a small concern with the belt strap loosening over time, but it’s secure enough for now, and I plan to work with the maker to ensure it’s fully fixed.
Throughout the entire process, the maker demonstrated professionalism, care, and skill. They explained exactly what they needed from me to ensure a perfect fit, were patient with my questions, and exceeded all expectations for responsiveness and communication. The suit was completed ahead of schedule and arrived on time with a tracking number, and it has already proven to be durable, comfortable, and visually stunning.
This project has had a profoundly positive impact on me. Being able to physically wear a character I’ve dreamed about for years is an experience I’ll never forget. I am extremely proud of Vixen and the way he turned out, and I feel that every aspect—from the head to the paws, arms, feet, and tail—reflects the maker’s care and talent. Despite being a smaller maker, they put just as much, if not more, love into their work than many larger names in the community. I am confident that future projects with them, including the full-body suit I’m planning, will be just as successful.
I highly recommend discussing your plans with this maker if you’re commissioning a fursuit. The process is professional, enjoyable, and worth every bit of time and investment. I love both the suit and the maker, and this experience has been nothing short of amazing.
