Features: None Concept Art Photos of Completed Product Overall Initial ContactThis maker reached out to me after I spoke out about my horrible experience with the maker of my 1.0 fursuit, and our relationship grew from there. Maker CommunicationThe suit was somewhat of a surprise, as I set no expectations of a timeline for its completion since it was a gift, however my maker kept me updated on anything she felt needed my approval before proceeding. Project Completion TimeConsidering my maker spent her free time between commissions and other projects making this fursuit for me, I’m impressed with how quickly it was completed. Overall Project QualityI cannot recommend working with UntamedFur enough! She has years of experience, an exceptional attention to detail, and an intimate understanding of how meaningful people’s fursonas are to them, and her work reflects all of this. This fursuit was made for me for just the cost of materials after she volunteered to breathe new life into my oldest fursona after the first person I commissioned to make her completely scammed and gave me a pathetic unwearable excuse of a fursuit. Feather is by far the most comfortable and wearable suit I’ve owned, and I’m so impressed by the beauty and skillful craftsmanship that went into its creation. Components Head Wear SatisfactionFeather’s head is a bit on the loose side, and is the heaviest of all my heads, but she’s also on the larger side to accentuate her toony look and has large ears, so the weight is understandable. The extra space, while it does limit how expressive I can be with my movements, does make her more comfortable to wear when a tighter head is overstimulating. The head is lined with a very soft wicking material which adds comfort and makes it easier to keep it clean than if it were unlined. My maker included vents at the base of the ears for added air flow, which paired with her wide mouth and nostril vents makes for a very breathable suit! Vision is very good thanks to her big beautiful eyes, and I have only a small blind spot when wearing this suit! I often use her as a loaner suit to friends wanting to try out fursuiting because she has such nice ventilation and vision. Visual SatisfactionFeather is visually very stunning! My maker’s style is very unique and expressive, which really brings 2D characters to life beautifully. Her markings are accurate and symmetrical within reason. Much of the fur on her head is recycled from the 1.0 suit of this character by another maker, so any inconsistency in fur quality is not a reflection of this maker’s material standards. One-Piece Body Wear SatisfactionFeather’s bodysuit is amazingly comfortable to wear, especially considering I didn’t provide a duct tape dummy, and the fit was based on requested modifications to the fit of the 1.0 suit that this was rebuilt from. I have full range of motion, and the padding is very lightweight and minimally obstructive. All seams are durably sewn and no repairs have been needed. The only minor issue is a small gap between the bottom of the zipper and top of the center seam on her belly. In the future, I would recommend sewing the bottom of the zipper to the belly fur to prevent this gap. Visual SatisfactionThe digi shape of Feather’s body is perfect, especially for her species! As a maned wolf, she is meant to have lanky limbs, which my maker accentuated beautifully with the suit’s padding! The markings are crisp and symmetrical throughout. It should be noted that we mutually agreed to omit the wing markings on her back due to material constraints. This fur was mostly new materials aside from the belly fur, and it is soft, high quality fur. Tail Wear SatisfactionThe tail is durably sewn and even includes a Velcro closure to allow me to remove the stuffing for easy washing. I did have to sew up a tiny hole in the appliqué detail at the base of the tail, but I’ve had this issue with any fursuit item I’ve ever had with these kinds of details. Visual SatisfactionFeather’s tail perfectly reflects all references in shape and markings. I draw her tail in a very particular way, and my maker took notice of this and brought that image to life with great care. The tail has great moment when wagging and walking which adds even more expressiveness to the suits! The maker even included appliquéd “gore” details to the base of the tail which was a fun surprise.
