Looking back at 2015, email communication with Que was easy! Icebreakers are usually hard thing to facilitate, but sometimes business helps crack it too. Initial contact was fluid and friendly! I had been searching for different makers with people and ended up stumbling across Que by sheer luck. Payments for the partial and full suit were made through PayPal. After a bit of clarification, I understood what measurements where needed along with the DTD.
Response time and communication with Que is easy, especially when we swapped to Telegram after conversing through email for a few years! I was treated well and the maker was pleasant to work with! Communication was friendly, and its kind of how we became friends and how we're still friends! They did communicate laying out the process and while things did come up, they did express what was going on without having to thoroughly explain.
The partial was completed within a month or two to Anthrocon 2014. For the full suit, the initial payments began September of 2015, and the suit was fully paid off by 2018/2019. Events did arise that stopped progress on suit making for a few years, but things come up and sometimes these can't be helped. The suit was finished fully and sent to me August 2021. My items were shipped in a timely manner along with tracking provided along with insurance in case anything would happen. The shipping service they used to USPS. There were a few times I had inquired about progress, and they were happy to supply information/updates about how it was coming along.
I had originally gotten a partial from Que back in 2014 in time for Anthrocon that year, and I had commissioned the full suit around September 2015. I had been talking with Que for a while from 2012 to 2015 and then on and off between 2015 to 2018 when things had picked up! Over the long while from when I had first talked with them to present day, I can say that from comparing the partial I had gotten for Edvin to the fullsuit of FluffTrap, their quality has improved a lot and I have my money's worth!
The full suit had originally been a commission of a different fursona that I have had for many years, but after realizing a few things in terms of how that suit would have been, I decided on something different! Fluffy/FluffTrap came to be when I wanted to get a SpringTrap suit, and to avoid any copyright infringement, Que took artistic freedom and liberty to stylize the suit similarly to the character SpringTrap, but not entirely the same!
All expectations have been met phenomenally with my full suit and I would highly recommend Que to anyone who's looking for quality at a great price! When looking back at the partial and then looking now at my full suit, the changes remembered where beneficial! Que is a phenomenal fursuit maker and honestly will always be my favorite! I had browsed for fursuit makers way back when I was considering
Having learned from my mistake before with a partial I had bought from Quescostumes, Que and I had made sure about having the correct measurements for including the glasses inside the head. The head fits perfectly and I'm able to insert the glasses through the mouth and put them on without any hassle. There's a sewn pouch inside the head where the case for the LED battery can rest nicely without jostling around when moving.
Ideally, I'm satisfied with how it fits me; it's not loose nor is it tight, it fits snugly!
The material used for lining is quilted broadcloth cotton! It absorbs sweat with no problem and cleaning is easy as well! The head is not stuffy inside, and breathing inside the head is great too! The ventilation is also decent as the jaw moves allowing for air circulation when needed! The vision is great as well, there are two pockets underneath the eyes that allow for decent vision. If I need to look left or right, I just have to turn my head to see where I'm going.
With this being an artistic freedom-based commission, the details are spot on to what Que had originally drafted as a rough sketch for the commission! The shaving is even, and the fur covers thoroughly as to not exposing any backing underneath. There is fur color transition between different segments as to portray segmented body parts! The material (fur) feels soft and amazing! The fur is able to be brushed easily without much hassle!
I'm overly satisfied with how the expression and overall appearance of the head! Originally Que and I had talked about aiming for a horror look, and that is well achieved with the "grump face" that Fluffy gives, and the shocked expression when the magnetic eyelids come off! Be it with eyelids on or off, thanks to the moving jaw held through cloth and magnets, I can portray multiple expressions! The eyes are follow-me as we both felt that it would provide a creepier aesthetic! The final product matches the concept art and goes above and beyond too!
The bodysuit is comfortable to wear and allows for good movement! The only thing I have to keep in mind is not tripping over myself due to how the feet are since they're more spread (not a negative, mostly just an awareness thing). The seams are durable, and I can move without seams popping! Que did mention that extreme movement (e.g. dancing) would possibly cause seams to pop, but I don't have anything planned for extreme physical activity with the bodysuit!
There are construction marks on the inside, but they do not bleed or detract from the overall appearance! The airflow is great too, it's not immediately stuffy/hot when donning the bodysuit! It takes a little while for heat to accumulate heavily inside the suit before it becomes hot.
There is some symmetry in terms of the arms in that the spots are articulated fantastically, and they match the character design! The shaving is even, and you can't see the backing underneath as the fur is thorough! There is transition color wise for the fur, and they match to what I was anticipating from what Que and I had talked about! The fur is soft to the touch, the markings do not rub off or bleed, and the fur is able to be brushed and smoothed with no problems! The selection of colors matches what Que had shown me prior to construction and I have to say the final outcome makes me extremely happy!
For the fullsuit, the upper torso is comfortable to wear and allows for good movement! The quality and durability are great, the seams are durable and can endure movement without popping! Que had mentioned prior that any rigorous excessive physical activity (e.g. dancing) would have the potential for popping seams, but I don't have anything planned in the foreseeable future for heavy physical movement. There's no lining inside of the bodysuit, only fur on the outside! The construction marks on the inside don't bleed on me nor do they detract from the overall appearance! The airflow is decent as it takes a while before heat starts to really accumulate inside. It is not immediately stuffy and/or hot inside.
The design for the upper body (in this case I have separate sleeves that were purchased at a later date for partial wear) is on par. In terms of the full suit, the design is on par as well for what Que had originally sketched! Fur on both the partial sleeves and full suit are shaved evenly, and there is transition between fur colors. The fur for both feels soft and is able to be brushed without hassle. Fur color wise matches what Que had shown me from other suits they had worked on and other examples they had shown from other makers.
The hands did take a little bit of wearing in for flexibility, but after a short period they fit nice and snug! They also allow for great movement! My wrists do show if I stretch a certain amount (this being due to the sleeves and that it's more that the hands are gloves compared to plush fursuit paws), but I can say that the hands do stay on firmly and I can put them on comfortably with ease!
The quality and durability are amazing! The seams are durable and I can move without any seams popping on my hands! There are no pawpads, claws, or extensions on the hands, but they are segmented with fur with durable stitching! There is no lining inside, but the hands are easy to wash!
There is symmetry with the hands as both can be worn on either hand! They match the character design and fit snug! The shaving is even, and you can't see the backing when wearing them! There is transition between colors in the fur than transition in fur type. The material (fur) is soft, and the fur can be brushed and smoothed easily! The selection in colors and materials used are on par with what I was anticipating! They also match the concept art from what Que had made!
The tail on the body suit bounces with flair when I move, and the separate tail is based off of belt loops which has the same bounce when moving! The full suit tail is attached and does not come off, and the separate tail is easy to attach to my belt! Both tails have amazing quality and great durability! There's no tearing on either tail, and the straps on the separate tail are secure and even.
The symmetry for both tails in on par and match the character design! The shaving is even and the backing is hidden! The transition in fur is more color based and matches what I was looking for! The material is soft and the fur can be brushed and smoothed easily! I am satisfied with the selection of colors and materials used, along with how they look and feel! The tail moves with bounce and is a highlighted touch that I enjoy a lot! The tail matches the concept art made by Que!
The feet are comfy to wear and only took a few times to get used to walking in! They're super comfortable, allow for good movement, and my ankles won't show due to the high-rise of fur connecting from where the leg and foot connect! I can easily put them on with ease and they do not slide off of me as they're snug and comfortable!
The quality and durability are phenomenal! The seams are durable and don't pop, and I can move without popping seams! The interior of the feet are soft and comfortable, and are easy to wash as well!
The symmetry in the feet is on par, and inside each foot is a color tag to denotate which foot is left and right! The shaving is even and the backing is hidden! The fur is soft to the touch and can be brushed and smoothed easily! I am greatly satisfied with the selection of colors and materials used! The feet match the concept art that Que had made!
The head houses LED lights near the eyes (this does not impair vision when the lights are on), and there's a sewn pouch where the case for the LED battery can rest nicely without jostling around inside the head when moving. I had bought an LED light fixture for Que to install, and after use there was a small hiccup though I was able to remedy the looseness of it (this mainly comes from the durability of the fixture that was bought). The container inside the sewn patch has a switch that I have to either turn on or off before putting the head on.
The other special attachment I had custom made by Que is a ruff that goes around my neck. It's a really nice touch, and it's good for aesthetics even though it does limit jaw movement. I still love how it looks even with that!
