Very easy. She DM'd me on Twitter. Then we continued through Facebook Messenger. I already knew about her since she and I are good friends (and I already have another fursuit by her, Alex Dachshund). She approached me offering to do a trade where I draw her tons of artwork in exchange. However, I did pay her a rush fee to have my fursuit sooner.
Since Lupe lives in Australia and I live in the United States, there was about a 12+ hour time difference to be expected. So often-times, I'd wake up to WIPs she sent while I was asleep. So if you commission her, and you do not live in Australia, keep in mind the time difference.
She was very professional, upbeat, and polite. She was never once rude to me at all. Or guilt-tripped me. I did not ever feel like I was being scammed.
She was fairly pretty fast about responding. I was shown a good amount of WIP images and asked questions about what I wanted.
She said she had planned to start my fursuit January 2021 but that time passed and I didn't get my fursuit until August 2021.
I was hoping to get my fursuit in time for Megaplex that year, but I didn't receive it until after the convention, and but I was able to wear it to MFF that year at least. Luckily for me, I have other fursuits, so I just wore those instead at Megaplex, so I wasn't disappointed.
Lupe has migraine issues from time-to-time, and they will sometimes put her out of work for days or weeks on end, so I was not upset that my fursuit took longer than expected. I feel like you shouldn't mad at someone for having medical issues that they cannot control, so I completely understood the delays. So if you commission her and she mentions the migraines, please be caring and understand it's hard for her to work when she's in a huge amount of pain.
I am extremely happy with how my fursuit came out. She followed my concept art near-perfectly. And the fursuit looks absolutely amazing all together.
It was well-worth the wait and I absolutely love it. Quality is fantastic and nothing has ripped, torn, or fallen off.
I would say it well represents Lupe's style!
Head fits me absolutely perfectly. And even though it was not requested, I could wear my glasses inside if I wanted to! Roomy, but not huge.
Despite how huge the ears are, the head isn't actually heavy! It has a fair bit of weight to it, but I wouldn't say it's heavy.
The head is lined with a lycra-type balaclava. No exposed foam at all.
I would say ventilation is pretty great. The mouth is nice and open, and can fit a portable fan inside. And I can definitely sip water with a straw, or drink out of a water bottle (if I wanted).
Vision I would say is standard fursuit vision. I can see where I'm going and navigate well. I don't need a handler. But obviously there are some standard blind spots, but that is to be expected.
I am absolutely happy with how the head looks! It's exactly what I wanted! The expression is very friendly and adorable. I asked for "bigger than normal" ears, and boy did she deliver! They're huge! I'm extremely pleased with the giant chihuahua ears! She also included the little purple whiskers that I requested as well and I love them!
I think the symmetry is pretty spot on — nothing looks lopsided to me! The nose is a little crooked around the nostrils, but I'm not picky about that since I know handmade crafted items aren't 100% symmetrical.
Shaving is great and very even, not choppy at all! Furs used are high quality and don't feel cheap.
She even made the inside of the mouth purple to match the tongue! And the balaclava on the inside of the head is purple and blue! (She knew I love purple and blue color combinations, so I think that's a really thoughtful touch she did!)
I feel like she matched my concept art 100% and followed all the little tidbits I pointed out on the concept art that I wanted!
The bodysuit is very comfortable to wear and very easy to put on. There is a front zipper.
However, the bodysuit itself is kinda loose on me, but I think that is not Lupe's fault. I think it's because I weigh less than I did when I originally did my duct tape dummy. But I think the bodysuit being loose is actually a happy accident — it means that an EZ Cooldown Vest fits well underneath it, and I can take my bodysuit off a lot easier than a tighter-fitting one!
The bodysuit is not lined. I don't like lined bodysuits anyway. Since I wear sweat-wicking clothes when I fursuit.
Since the bodysuit is loose on me, airflow is actually pretty good, I don't sweat as much.
The quality is fantastic! Nothing has ripped or torn yet. And seems to be wonderfully sewn together!
I think the symmetry is pretty spot on — nothing looks lopsided to me!

I think the fur colors match pretty well! She even did the "happy trail" of fur on the belly that I requested!
The only problem I would say is that the freckles on the shoulders are the wrong color. They should be a dark brown, and are instead a medium shade of brown. But that is honestly not a big issue to me, and I didn't even notice till months later.
The hands are a little big but I am able to put them on and wear them without issue. They do not slide off or fall off. They are very comfortable to wear! They are labelled with tags to show which is the left or right paw. They do not show skin if I stretch too much. I have limited dexterity when I wear them. I can push elevator buttons and pick things up, but I have to remove them if I want to use a card key or drink a bottle, for example.
The hands are not lined. I know this is a big deal to some folks but I honestly don't care about that. However, the cuffs have some lining around the rims to prevent rough edges.

The tail is permanently attached to the bodysuit and has a hidden zipper to remove the stuffing for washing. There are no belt loops on the inside of the bodysuit.
Quality is great! No rips or popped seams or holes!

The only thing that I would say is a minor issue is that I had requested an upright curly tail and it sags downward. So I have to safety-pin the tail to the back of my bodysuit to ensure that it stands up correctly in an upright curl.
The feet fit me perfectly! They are very comfortable and I can move around with them fine! They do not slide off.
Quality is great! No rips or popped seams or holes!
The interior of the feet is lined! There are no shoes inside.
The feet are indoor feet and Lupe does clear plastic vinyl overlays on the bottoms of the feet to prevent them from getting dirty, though if you don't want these overlays, you can request that she not add them and make you sandals instead.
