Review Video Character Concept Art Photos of Completed Product Head Wear Satisfaction This suit has a slightly tiny head entry way but accommodates for things like a microphone inside with padding to keep it stable. The eyes give it more periphery than seeing right in front. Ventilation is very good but does require a fan. The head itself though is amazing and detailed, comfortable to wear and extreme thought was given to placement of the fan to accommodate a mic. Visual Satisfaction Outside, the head is more amazing than I could have ever hoped. It has gorgeous eyes and it is incredibly detailed, adorable, and hits every mark for perfection! Special Attachments and Features There is a fan inside which is needed for the kemono eyes and it is fashioned in a way to not cause noise over a mic. Body Wear Satisfaction Body fits perfectly. The seams are sturdy, and the fur panels are of very high quality. Airflow by definition isn’t going to happen and digitgrade padding exasperates that. But with a cooling vest, you can wear this for hours at a time. Visual Satisfaction Everything matches the concept art perfectly. Shaving is even, panels are high quality and spots look natural! I LOVE IT! Material selection was top notch! Special Attachments and Features I opted to have spots sewn in instead of marked up and they are fantastic! Hands and Feet Wear Satisfaction Hands and feet are a bit roomy but absolutely wearable. Feet need a little padding to accommodate excess height clearance, but other than that, they are amazingly perfect. Paws, I have a little trouble getting them on deep enough but I am able to grip and function in them, I haven’t had any issues beyond initial suit up. Visual Satisfaction They are exactly as defined in the reference. I got 2 pairs, plush and function of each. Both look amazing and are soft and cuddly! Special Attachments and Features My function paws have gloves on them that fit the reference perfectly. Tails Wear Satisfaction This is something really fun to get used to and feels great. Never before have I loved wearing a tail so much with this suit! Visual Satisfaction The tail is spot on perfect from the reference. I love it!!! Overall Product Satisfaction How was your concept art realized? This maker took my references and created a separate kemono style reference that we hashed out the details on. The end product was realized perfectly! How well does everything fit together and match up? Everything fits together perfectly and looks incredible! Zippers are hidden, and pockets are obscured. The costume is very consistent in style, matching the source material. Overall Project Quality I am THRILLED with the service and product I received. I hope to use Ginji for a long time and when he is ready to retire, I would absolutely return! Purchase Process Initial Contact Contact system was not working but the quote system was, make initial contact through the quote system! Everything was incredibly straight forward and very smooth. Final Comments Just wanted to give a my freeform review to let everyone know what to expect when you order from here. Skip to the tldr section if you want the highlights. First and foremost, start your interaction with a quote request! Regular contact looks like it got caught in spam. I am so thankful I tried this route because I am so happy with how everything turned out! After this, everything was smooth. I placed the quote on April 21. I was contacted shortly after and was able to provide additional references, contexts, and details. They listened to all my use cases and requests for the suit and happily accommodated, even adding some microphone space and thoughtful fan placement for the mic. We scheduled a Skype call through my Xbox and I got to meet everyone there and they got to know and understand things in greater detail. They provided additional suggestions and other products that would help as well. Once the quote was finalized, payment was sent. Price was very competitive and more than fair for everything I wanted and my giant size, which they were able to accommodate!!! I received at LEAST weekly updates and was able to provide feedback on certain things (like fur colors and making the ears a little rounder on the head carving). But absolutely trust Tenshi-san. She is a master of her craft and knows exactly what she’s doing and what will work best. Sometimes the camera didn’t reflect the colors as well as I thought it would but in person, it is exactly as you’d hope! Everything was very formal and if you speak Japanese, you can use that too but English is very fluent! It’s worth noting if you want discretion, they are happy to provide that too but I opted to have my progress shared via Twitter. In the beginning of July Tenshi-san informed me the suit was ready to ship! It went out and arrived July 5th via FedEx. FedEx did it no favors. I had to try on the head immediately. It was so awesome. They also included bonuses such as a Kemono reference, badge, customized instructions, care guide and letter. Every step of the way was a magical experience that filled me with joy. When I tried on the rest, I was just blown away by the quality and cuteness. Everything was detailed. The spots, the tongue, even the custom paws I ordered. The fit was amazing too for working with someone remotely. The few issues I encountered were incredibly mild and easy to mitigate. The biggest challenge i have is I have abnormally large feet so, the caverns in the footpaws are tailored to a stock shoe that is very tall height wise. That can be mitigated with some padding inside. The head space is a little tight to squeeze in, but that’s not really a standard measurement and I can still do it with a microphone if I get very creative :). The last thing has less to do with fit but I understand why it was done. There’s a very large gap inside between the eyes. I almost wish the eyes were ever so slightly closer together. I know why it was done and I probably wouldn’t compromise the aesthetic either. The technology… Get the fan. The eyes make it like your looking out an old bathroom window and they will fog up without it. The effect is intentional for Kemono eyes. And they are gorgeous. So get the fan!!!! Your face will thank you too! I didn’t think I’d want lighting but after seeing some of their other work, I may get some upgrades later :). The lights do not look tacky, they are very thoughtfully, aesthetically placed. I had also never used a tail in this manner before but it could also be the norm for suits. It’s definitely a strange feeling at first but you quickly get used to it and the tail is amazingly soft and fluffy!!! Overall, this suit is practically perfect. I would not hesitate to order another from them and have no doubt they will take my minor feedback into account regarding fit and placement to that end. The tldr; Timeline: I ordered April 21 2020. I received July 5 2020. Rskemono is FAST! LIGHTNING FAST! Price: Pricing will vary based on your options but is competitive compared to other makers. Communication:Communication was very consistent and updates we’re given at regular intervals. Trello tracking also provided and kept up to date. Ask for a quote directly from their system, other inquiries might end up in spam and unseen. Fit: This is a custom fitted garment, it will fit just as well as your measurements in the DTD provide. They take into consideration things such as cooling vests and technology you will be bundling but you have to let them know! I am a giant and they made it work for me! Quality: This is one of the highest quality, detailed suits I’ve ever seen. I am proud to be seen in it! Cuteness: This is one of the most adorable suits out there, hands down. At first I was concerned about how the aesthetic might look in the cute Kemono style but it was BEAUTIFUL translated! Technology: I don’t care what you think about it, get the damn fan haha. You NEED IT. The way the eyes have to work, without it, you won’t be able to see. They also accommodated me needing to mic up the head with some great removable padding.
