I found out that the maker had open slots on Twitter. I contacted them initially via a form on their website; subsequent communication was via Telegram. They explained their requirements (for measurements etc.) well.
This was genuinely excellent; I received frequent updates/WIPs and they were quick to answer questions.
The project took approximately one year from the commission date to when it was received. I understood that they would not be starting for a few months which was communicated clearly at the start.
Ordering a suit from NPC was a pleasure. The maker was lovely to work with and keen to produce a fantastic finished product. One complication with my commission was the fact that I had already commissioned a tail from another maker; NPC needed to match the colours of this item and this added some complexity to the commission, but in the end the colours match really well and I really appreciate the extra effort made to do so.
Very comfy; I've worn it for hours without comfort issues. The padding on the inside of the head piece is pretty close to my face, but not in a way that causes issues and I appreciate it because it seems to keep the head in place. It did take me a few tries to work out how to wear it comfortably but I can now do so without issues. The visibility is really good, and it's also been easy to clean (using a sponge with soapy water to wipe the inside).
NPC has a really distinct visual style which is really appealing and has got Kale plenty of attention at meets and cons. The little teeth and also the whiskers in the design were the maker's idea, which are really fun additions that I'm really happy with. The head also included adjustable eyelids and a magnetic earring which are fun to play around with and work nicely.
These are very comfortable to wear. The fit is perfect; I wouldn't want them any tighter or looser. I clean these in the washing machine and this works well. Nothing has broken or fallen off (yet).
Awesome; I love the paw pad pattern especially and I like to show this off in photos.
The feet are super comfortable; I even wear them around the house sometimes as slippers (even though they are quite big!). They are easy to out on and remove. Because they are quite big I did need to spend a bit of time getting used to moving around with them on but I don't have any issues now. These feet paws were designed for outdoor wear and have held up well so far. Just like with the hand paws nothing has broken or fallen off (yet).
They have a nice toony style which complements the head well.
NPC made a custom detachable magnetic earring which looks nice and works great.
