Maker CommunicationShkaff is terrible at communicating, I knew this before hand from other french shkaff suiters, I would advice to point out several time and emphasis every SINGLE stuff that isn't a big element, any detail remind her constantly and come back to ask for wips to check if everything is alright. Don't be afraid. Project Completion TimeI am very happy with the completion time however they are not the usual shkaff turnaround. Mine was done as special slot during the beginning Ukraine war with only the fur she had in stock. Overall Project QualityThe quality is great, after 4 years I am really happy with my suit, I had to touch up things, the lining is coming of a little so some repairs have to be made but Lily has been worn plenty of hours so it's only fair. Components Head Wear SatisfactionWhen I received the suit I was quite surprised with how small the head was, closing it with the zipper at the back was quite stressful as I was worried it would break. After 4 years now the fur stretched and it's more comfortable. It its quite nice on the head, no wiggle room (no room for glasses) and is quite light However the visibility is AWFUL, the eyes are painted with a really tight mesh and most of the holes were clogged with paint thus making it nearly impossible to see, I commissioned printed eyes from another maker to fix that problem. Visual SatisfactionIt looks really good and the character design is respected, during the process tho because she barely sent any wip I had to ask her to make the scar lily has on the left eye (right when you're looking in front) I touched up the hair myself after I received the suit as she made separate strands and it looked odd, now all sewn together it's much better. For some reasons Shkaff decided to not make lily's nose have a hole for the septum, she did it before ?? and decided to make a fabric septum cut in half and sewn inside the nose ? If you like the style go for it, you'll have a cool suit but be careful to make SURE she does everything on your character and with the right colors, several recent shkaff suiters had rather big issues regarding this.
