I saw this maker through their Instagram reels and fell in love with their work, I contacted them through their Instagram account. I purchased this item through a payment plan and used PayPal to send payments. My maker was very clear with what they needed from me even sending prepared instruction videos!
My maker never took over 24 hours to get back to my messages throughout the whole process to my memory and would send consistent updates even if I didn't ask for them, we talked only on Instagram the entirety of the transaction. This maker was very pleasant to work with, kind and friendly but not to an overwhelming degree. It was professional but I was never treated like a wallet. They communicated clearly and had clear expectations. They did publicly post a reel regarding inflamed tendons in their fingers and continuing to work although at a slower pace but never brought it up to me directly nor used it as an excuse, progress on my suit was still being made and sent to me consistently. While lulu is very kind and easy to talk to I never felt as if our conversations crossed a line to become that uncomfortable space where you know way too much about your maker.
My fursuit was finished in under six months and fit the timeline, I wanted my suit to arrive in time for me to wear at anthrocon 2025. My maker was able to meet this deadline giving plenty of time for the suit to be shipped and imported and the suit was shipped about a week after the final approval was given by me. Tracking was provided and all was looking good but unfortunately the item did get stuck at customs. It was held for several days and I was asked for forms multiple times by DHL even if I had already filled them, my poor father even used the tracking on the packages to drive to their current location and try to just pick them up there rather than wait but they weren't at the location the tracking said. Allegedly my father was even hung up on by an employee of the shipping company while trying to figure out where the packages were. I adore my maker but the DHL shipping company was not nearly as communicative or easy to work with. The fees to import my two packages containing my suit cost almost $5,000.00 USD the suit itself was $15,000.00 the policy regarding import duty was that if the fees were not paid within 5 days from the arrival date the package would be sent back, I admittedly wasn't expecting the fee to be such a high amount. Thankfully I was able to pay it but ouch…
I am extremely satisfied with lulu_furs work, it's a suit truly made just for me and fits like a second skin. All the pieces attach and detach with ease and flows together nicely, nothing feels like it doesn't belong. It is extremely high quality and worth every penny, although I have been informed some parts are more fragile than others I don't ever feel as if the suit is falling apart or not well crafted. I feel my suit is durable and will last a long time with the proper care. My suit was a lot of firsts for my fursuit maker but they executed it wonderfully, my suits style, detail, and durability is consistent with their previous works.
The head is quite comfortable to wear, if I ever need a bit more air flow while suiting I can open the mouth and even use a small fan if needed it can get a bit stuffy. The ears are attached via magnets to the head, they don't fall off easily and I can remove or re-attach them easily without taking off my head. There is an adjustable strap on the back of the head and the chin rest is slightly padded allowing for a comfortable fit that I can adjust, there is a large zipper on the back of the head as well making the head easy to put on or take off. The zipper has never gotten stuck and I am able to zip and unzip myself while in suit without assistance, I do have rather long hair and while the back strap rarely gets caught or tangled in it when zipping the head it can occasionally get a few strands stuck. The head is 3d printed which I really like, any part that touches my skin is lined with a specific fabric that was described by my maker as "natural, soft, with a perforated effect". This fabric is very comfortable against my skin and protects it nicely. When the head is plugged into the battery pack for the leds the wire isn't in the way although if i'm not using that feature the best option is unplugging it and just stuffing it inside the head (this can be a bit difficult to find the perfect spot for it to be comfortable but doesn't affect me much), visibility is good but difficult when the leds are on in the eyes which should be expected. Nothing pokes me and there is nothing sharp on the inside of the head, it is light weight and can be removed easily.
The head looks amazing! All markings and parts are symmetrical despite some being very small, the eyes especially came out great considering the original 2d design doesn't really account for how they'd look at other angles but still matches the design very well. The shaving is even across the whole suit and they followed the fur length reference guide I provided very well, the fur looks gorgeous and feels so soft. It is easy to brush and clean (my maker even gave me a few different brushes for free that work very well on the fur!). I am very satisfied with the expression and overall appearance of the head, if you look closely at the ears a different fabric was used on the inside of them. If the fur is brushed the right direction it gives a really nice effect. The head came with 2 sets of magnetic eyelids, one being fully closed eyes. The eyelids are only for the 2 largest eyes the other smaller eyelids cannot be removed from the eyes. The wolperterror also came with 2 tongues, both being pierced one being longer and accurate to the reference sheet and the other being smaller and not having the extra green frilly bits. I believe the eyes are just static however being imbedded into the head it has a slight follow me effect and all eyes are led + uv reactive. It is almost identical to the concept art, the only real differences being the fade from neon green to dark green is missing on the bug parts however it wouldn't be possible to have both dark green and the fur react to uv. (Fun fact my maker had invent their own way to achieve the uv effect to do this project because regular uv paint doesn't like to layer properly, is often opaque, and hates sticking to plastic!)
The suit fits me very well, not too tight or too loose. It is very comfortable to wear and pretty easy to put on, I can move around pretty well although due to the large tail I have to be cautious about how I turn around or back up. I have yet to pop any seams and the zippers are well hidden in my opinion regardless of the short fur and complex design on the front of the suit. The interior is not lined but it is very neat and clean, I wear specific clothing underneath to help stay cool, protect my skin, and protect my fursuit. Something to note is due to the ammount of LEDs and wires in the suit I have to be careful to not accidentally tug at the wires, my foot has occasionally gotten stuck on the ones connected to the lower legs but as long as I put my suit on while keeping the wires in mind it's rarely a problem. If my foot or arm ever does snag on a wire I just simply pull my limb out of the suit, adjust the wire, then try again. My suit is dry clean only due to the wires, however I do choose to very carefully use a green machine on certain parts that are more likely to get dirty or sweaty avoiding any wires or LEDs. The digitigrade leg padding is removeable and very light weight, using foam to make a hollow but sturdy shell rather than using stuffing. The suit has a front zipper as well as one that attaches the tail, feet paws, and the leg padding has a zipper down the middle allowing it to be broken in half for easy removal and storage.
I am very satisfied with how the suit looks, everything is symmetrical and it matches the character design to the smallest detail. The shaving is even and I'm very happy with the use of fur lengths especially with the glass belly and ribs, theres some foam sculpting as well that really sells the look! The fur looks great and is very soft, the only part that is crunchy is the blue parts on the legs attached to the back. I don't mind as that part is rarely going to be touched anyways but using the uv reactive paint there my maker was able to get the color fade I wanted. Do far none of the markings have rubbed off or bled even if it is uvpaint on the neon green. The fur is easily brushed and fun to do so! My maker included a few fur brushes for free for my suit that I use. I am very satisfied with the colors and materials used, my wolperterror's main body colors are very hard to match but they found something that's almost identical. There is padding for the digitigrade effect as previously mentioned, it is very durable and strong. It creates an appealing effect, however like with all fursuits don't leave it squished during storage as that can affect the shape. It goes back to normal though once taken out for a bit. It matches the concept art perfectly including the small white bits and lights! The way they did the swirl on the belly turned out really well (if I recall correctly that part on the belly wasn't originally on the ref sheet, but when asked they were kind enough to add it for no additional charge) even though the fur is really short on the front of the body by design the zipper is still pretty well hidden or at least not distracting to me. The battery pack can be removed from the suit and while it doesn't have a holder within the suit I just stick it in the leg padding or in my fanny pack and that works fine.
The hands fit me just fine, they are comfortable and allow for good movement. They do not slide off and my wrists never show, they are easy to put on (I put them on last so keep in mind I can't see perfectly with my fursuit head on) they do have a wire that I can unplug from the rest of the suit for the claws to light up. If I'm not using the lights i just tuck them into the hands which works fine, to put them on with the lights though I plug both hands in first holding one under my arm or placing on a nearby table. Then I slide each hand on, I can accidentally get the hands mixed up from left or right as they're almost identical but if I take a second to look at them It's rarely a issue. They are very nice quality, I have yet to pop a single seam. Nothing has fallen off or chipped, the fur is easy to brush and clean. The interior is ligned with the same material as the head, perfect for sweat and comfort. Out of every part of my suit I hardly notice the paws at all because they do so well with the heat.
Very satisfied with how the hand paws turned out, their glow under uv and the LED lights are straight from my dreams. They are symmetrical and match the character design down to the cuticle and claw colors, the claws all face the right direction. Fur is all shaved evenly and wonderfully soft, the fur lengths follow my reference photo. Nothing is crunchy and the markings are clean even with white next to neon or dark colors. Fur is easy to brush and they matched the colors of my character extremely well especially since the main colors of the paw are uncommon as previously mentioned. There are no pawpads however the claws are 3d printed then painted with uv paint and coated with a protective sealant, they have no scratches or chips. They look amazing and feel just as good to wear, they match the concept design perfectly.
My fursuit tail is a floor dragger measuring about 180 centimeters, it attaches to the rest of my suit via a near invisible zipper on the end of the tail. The suit has a hole for the tail to attach and to be able to put a belt through, the tail has 4 firmly attached straps on the end that attaches to the body (this is also the end where the zipper is). You can loop a belt through all of these straps or for a more wiggly tail just the center two straps, I choose to do all four as that's most comfortable. The tail fits the suit perfectly and is very comfortable on my body despite being longer than my height, I'm actually missing a few of my lower ribs on one side. Because of this pressure on that side can be uncomfortable or even painful, I do wear the belt that holds the tail a bit above my hips. However the light weight of the tail and comfortable distribution with the straps on the tail makes it easy and most importantly comfortable for me to wear not causing any pain or discomfort even when not zipped to the rest of the suit. It is easy to put on, and high quality. My maker did say the legs of the tail would be more susceptible to damage as I wear it, however so far there are no popped seams. It can be tugged without tearing and the straps are securely attached and even. There is no padding or armeture but it looks great and works well.
The tail is symmetrical with no lopsided parts or markings, it matches the characters design perfectly. The shaving is even and they followed the fur length reference I provided, the fur feels soft and looks great. The places where the blue uv paint was used is crunchy but necessary for the fade effect, despite dragging on the floor nothing has bleeded or rubbed off despite the paint being right next to neon green. The fur is able to be brushed easily and the free brush kit my maker provided works well on both long and short fur. I am very satisfied with colors and materials used, they feel wonderfully soft and capture that uv effect I wanted perfectly. The tail moves and acts as expected and matches the concept art. The only part of the design changed was the darker part of the legs, as previously I am ok with this as the color dark green does not have that uv effect I wanted.
The feet can be attached or detached to my suit using a near invisible zipper, it is easy to use but securely attaches the two parts. The feet paws go above my ankles and cover my shins, they fit me wonderfully. They are comfortable and allow for good movement, they do not stretch and no skin ever shows when zipped to the suit. However the feet paws being quite tall won't show skin unless I wear shorts. They stay on comfortably and can put them on pretty easily, i opt to already have them zipped to the suit when I put them on. There's a wire that connects down the leg to the feet so the claws can light up. This wire can be unplugged and tucked away but i can occasionally catch my foot on it, in this scenario i simply pull my foot back out and adjust the wire before putting my foot back in. They are very durable and I have yet to pop any seams on them, the paint on the bottom of the claws got a bit scuffed during a brief photo shoot on concrete (I now have fursuit shoes to protect them) these feet paws are meant for indoor suiting. The feet are ligned with the same fabric mentioned before, comfortable and good for sweat. The feet are easy to clean!
I am very satisfied with the feet paws, nothing is asymmetric or lopsided and all the claws face the right way. Shaving is even and the fur lengths follow my reference, the fur is very soft and looks great. Nothing is crunchy nor rubs off or bleads despite white being next to neon and dark colors, it is easily brushed and my maker gave me a free brush kit for my suit! There are no paw pads but the claws are 3d printed with uv reactive paint covered with a protective sealant. They look and feel amazing, paint does not scratch easily. Looks exactly like the references given.
• Electronic LEDs
Used on the belly, chest, eyes, hips, and claws. There are wires run through the suit that can be connected to a battery which can be turned on or off. They work well and my fursuit creator did make clear that repairs would likely have to be made in the future because the wires are quite thin and can break. This feature also makes my suit unable to be washed normally. I only ever really notice the wires for this feature when not in use as they are tucked into the suit rather than plugged in fully, it takes an extra second or two to put the feet paws on to make sure I don't accidentally tug on the wires but they are not painful. For the full effect all parts must be plugged in which can take some time. They are not heavy and I love how they look and enjoy using them! I do opt to not plug in the eye LEDs unless I'm standing still for photos as those do affect my visibility.
• UV paint/fur
Theres is not a single piece of my suit that doesn't have this feature except the eyelids, the uv reactive fur and paint glow under blue light naturally. They work extremely well and work just like any other fur or paint, it doesn't affect how I wear the suit. It looks amazing!
• Mandibles
The mandibles are attached to my fursuits head, they are a 3d component and have the uv reactive paint. They are impressive because not only did my maker get the paint to stick to the plastic but also this feature is 3d printed (the entirety of the head is its own unique 3d print as well sculpted by my maker specifically for my wolperterror) they don't effect the way I wear my head or see, unfortunately my head did fall off a table 2ft from the ground and landed directly on one of the mandibles. My maker did warn me the mandibles would be most at risk for breakage if my head was dropped and of course it fell directly onto the mandible onto concrete and ahattered… however! The rest of my head was not damaged and my fursuit maker made me a replacement pair of mandibles for my suit with tougher plastic and the same uv technique without asking me to pay for them, the mandibles can be attached and removed if needed. It can be a bit difficult to unscrew the bolt that attached it to the head with little space in the mask but it has never fallen, they are not heavy and look great.
