Overall

Initial ContactFor me personally I was a Patreon supporter, so I was able to ask for quotes a month in advance from the opening date. I originally asked for my first quote in 2021, but prices do change so I followed up in 2022. It was an easy process and I heard back within a week. Their Twitter reflects their next quote openings.

Maker CommunicationCommunication from Aseol has been amazing! Despite time zone differences, I have never waited more than 48 hours to hear back from them. I did have a 2 month delay from the original estimate, but the issues were entirely reasonable. When it was my turn in the queue, I never waited more than a day to hear back on updates, feedback, ect during the construction process. Top notch communication and professionalism!

Please be mindful that they are still learning English, so keep communication simple and with no slang.

Project Completion TimeAseol had some personal issues come up which caused a small delay in the production schedule, but once it was my turn in the queue we worked together to finish my suit within a month from start to finish in time for Anthrocon. My design is on the simpler side, so your character might take longer depending. I'm truly grateful to them for getting everything done in time even with delays!

Overall Project QualityYes! Even though there have been a few issues, they are truly minimal and nothing that couldn't be fixed with some basic sewing skills. I mean it 100% when I say I'm truly happy and blessed Aseol brought my character to life with their craftsmanship and care. My references and instructions were followed perfectly. The foot claws and leg measurements are a bit unfortunate, but we did rush the project a bit more than usual with the Anthrocon deadline. My fursuit is easy and comfortable to wear for Kemono style, and every penny I saved towards this was worth it for Aseol's experience in the field. Aseol is professional, kind, and consistent with their work.

Components

Head

Wear SatisfactionMy head is one of the most recent ones Aseol made (2023). This current style is VERY comfortable to wear! The inside is lined, and I was given a pillow to put at the top and adjust as needed. As long as my fans are running and my defogger is applied, I can wear this head for very long sessions with no discomfort. I have done a 5+ hour session without needing to take my head off, but of course your personal stamina may affect this. My headbase is 3D printed resin which makes it a lot more breathable than foam bases in my opinion. The inside of my head is a soft black foam, and the pillow is a type of mesh fabric. I'm not sure if it is Nylon or Polyester, but it is very soft. Even though it is comfortable, please wear a balaclava so sweat does not absorb into the foam!

I forgot to ask for ear fans, so I installed them behind my ear fluff as soon as I got my head in the mail. My ear fans blow air out while my mouth fan blows air in. With ear fans + a mouth fan wearing this head is no problem and very breathable.

My vision is AMAZING. Of course there is a blind spot like most suits, but my suit eyes line up with my actual eyes nicely. I have some peripheral vision too. The best comparison I can give is taking a fishing net and looking through it. My "eyes" are heavily sealed inside a few layers of foam/plastic so there is minimal risk of damaging the buckram while cleaning. I only surface clean my head by hand with a LittleGreen machine personally. I would not submerge my head fully in water to clean it.

Visual SatisfactionGorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! Aseol did an amazing job bringing my baby to life! They followed my reference details to the T, and nothing was overlooked in the design. I literally can't stop admiring it most days haha. The shaving work is clean, there are no tears or damage, and everything was reinforced with care and love. Everything from my fluffy ear tips to my braid was recreated. The felt used for my eyelashes and to shape my mouth was cut very cleanly.

I did provide a VERY detailed checklist using Aseol's past work as reference, so that definitely helped bring the vision to life.
There is only one thing about my design that wasn't fully captured. The eye buckram material is amazing for vision, but I did lose some of the finer details on my character's eyes because of it.
Just like real hair, my character's "hair" does need to be straightened before photos but it is not a problem to me. I think it is very charming.

Of course like every fursuit, this is an item made by hand. Aseol's handiwork is amazing, clean and very professional as someone doing commission work for the past 5 years.

One-Piece Body

Wear SatisfactionMy bodysuit fits perfectly and hugs my body comfortably! I made sure to put a lot of effort into my duct tape dummy, and it paid off. Since I have bottom padding my leg movement is a little restricted, but that's to be expected. My leg padding is made out of the same mesh nylon/polyester as my head pillow so it is very soft, comfortable and reasonably light. Upper bodies are not lined which is okay and normal since more padding would trap more heat.

The leg padding is a giant pair of suspender pants that is made separate from the body. This makes the suit up process very easy, and minimizes the risk of any padding falling out and coming loose while moving. The padding can be fully unstuffed for deep cleaning in most washing machines, but I recommend removing the suspender straps fully before putting it in a machine. My bodysuit tail can also be unstuffed so that I can run it through the washing machine after a long convention.

I did not have my first popped seam until after 20+ hours, but the rest of my bodysuit has been heavily reinforced so there were no holes. This was around the hip area. I do not think the heat levels are any more or less than your average fursuit, but padding/kemono heads will be harder to wear than toony in general.

Visual SatisfactionOnce again my markings were captured perfectly from the reference and details given! Personally my character is fluffy with long hair, so shaving was mostly not necessary or needed. To be transparent, my brown and silver fur was from BigZ so it is extremely soft and great for hugs. Pinks were locally sourced from Korea. You do not see any seams or sewing, and the main zipper stays invisible.

I had to trim a little bit of the brown fur around the markings to make them stand out more, but that is the only "modification" I have done on the body period.

When it was time for construction, Aseol checked with me to see if I was happy with the fur colors chosen before we started. I chose between two separate browns, and both of us were very happy with the one I went with! There has been no dye bleeding or color fading from my body so far.

Hands

Wear SatisfactionMy hand paws are perfect! Inside my paws are lined with the nylon/polyester mesh which makes them very comfortable. My wrist has full range of motion, and there has been no slipping while wearing them. I did not send hand measurements, so the paws are mostly a universal size.

I had a few seams come loose after 10+ hours, but still no actual holes and it was a simple fix of cutting the thread.

Visual SatisfactionI had to do a little bit of trimming around the pads since the fur was so long, but they have held up well. I did send custom minky for the pads, and resin claws, but Aseol was happy to work with the materials and very understanding!

Tail

Wear SatisfactionMy body tail is a big floor dragger just how I wanted it! There have not been any issues with the bodysuit tail or connection to the body. This tail can be unstuffed for proper deep cleaning.

I did commission a separate tail for partialing, and it has held up amazingly. The belt strap is sewn in tightly. However, this tail cannot be unstuffed and surface cleaned only.

Visual SatisfactionVisually everything is perfect! I don't have a very complicated tail, so there is not much else to say except it is durable, soft and plush!

Feet

Wear SatisfactionThe actual foot structure is durable and soft! The inside is lined, and it feels like a giant pair of fuzzy slippers. Sadly the resin claws were sewn in a bit too low, so they began popping off and I had to remove them completely.

Visual SatisfactionUnfortunately, the measurements with my legs is a little off. The connection between the body leg and fursuit foot falls a bit short, so the leg padding ends up visible and doesn't stretch over the foot cleanly. I will probably need to do an extension, or button snaps. I might also try to mess around with the padding position.

Please wear foot protection if you have indoor feet! Learn from my mistake. I rushed to Anthrocon without any sandals/ covering and the hot sidewalk caused a hole to tear in my foot near my heel. This is 100% my error and not Aseol's.

YES This review has been marked with a positive rating.
This means the reviewer would recommend Aseol Fursuit.

Final CommentsI would recommend Aseol in a heartbeat to anyone that loves their style! Truly a great person to work with overall. Please don't let the small imperfections mentioned in my review deter you from commissioning them. Fursuits are made entirely by hand, so sometimes little things come up especially as the suit gets older/used more. I just wanted to be transparent with the things that DID pop up with my suit.
