Some options weren't exactly clear back then (toony vs. super toony) but I think that has improved. A quick e-mail exchange and a partial payment later, I got approved to the queue. Instructions for the DTD came by mail Maker CommunicationCommunication might be one of the larger problems of this maker. There is a Nuke Telegram group for the Nuke family and they have their own Telegram account. At first it was easy to reach them, with replies between instantly, a few hours and a day. This eventually got worse over time where your messages weren't read anymore and you had to ping them on the family group. Nowadays they try to turn this back around and also post plenty of WIPs weekly (which was a bit more rare when my suit was being made). However I didn't have too much contact with them after my suit was finished so I can't exactly tell if things are better again. Otherwise they're always very friendly and are nice to talk to. There is a Trello where you can follow the queue and can see how far they are with the suits. Project Completion TimeI expected my suit to be done after 1.5 to 2 years (No promises were given, I just looked how fast their Trello moved at that point). However, my suit just got started properly around the 2 year mark. Sadly, this was the time when "that big flu" hit in 2020. This delayed my kittycat by around half a year (shipping and customs took 5+ months…). After roughly 5-6 extra months I could hold my kitty in my hand. Shipping was a breeze within the EU and pretty quickly if it weren't for DHL. But that was out of their control. Overall Project QualityOverall I am super happy how my kittycat looks and feels and am super happy to have found this maker. The build quality is pretty professional and the style is consistent among all the fursuit parts. I'm sure I will have lots of fun still ahead with this fursuit. Nuke's style can vary greatly and all of their suits look unique and so does my cat. I doubt I would have been happy with a suit that looks like all of the others. Components Head Wear SatisfactionYou just slip directly into the head without any kind of zipper. The head is made of foam and everything is stretchy enough that the head is not loose at all. I don't know if I might call it a tad too tight – but that might only come through when you start the head for a really long period. It fits nicely and is comfortable. Nothing is scratchy or anything. It has been lined from the inside and the ventilation is what one can expect from such build. Sadly my late request to add a little fan seems to have gone missing. But I don't actually see how one can fit a little fan into the tight head with such a short feline muzzle. Vision is what you can expect for such big toony eyes. Visual SatisfactionI love the head. It is soo hard to find a good maker that does good housecats. And Nuke really did such an amazing job! My little kittycat looks absolutely stunning. Colors match, the eyes look super good and all those details! The shape is perfect – they use one of their own headbases and modified it a little to match my kitty. I asked to be contacted for when they start on the markings – that was not an issue at all. A tiny fix for the stripe placement on the duct tape and we were ready to go. The head is having some nice details for a toony suit (it's not super-toony, the maker also offers that!). I have two pairs of eyelids, one pair for each eye, that can help altering the expression. They attach with velcro, so it is not as rigid as magnetic eyelids. I have three swappable tongues (short, stays in the mouth up to a long one that sticks out a few cm) which also attach with velcro in the lined mouth. They all have magnets at the tongue-tip and I also have magnets in the muzzle, so I can lick the side of my muzz ;3~ The mouth is lined with a few details and the teeth are their premade plastic teeth cut apart. I fear if they might come loose some day when swapping tongues. The head-shaving is great job and I have those spots by the whiskers as paintbrushed detail. Overall I doubt I could have received a better head! <3 One-Piece Body Wear SatisfactionThe bodysuit is comfortable and fits perfectly. Ends (Neck, Wrist) got some extra lining to feel more comfortable. I'm still moving carefully inside, hoping I won't pop a seam when the material stretches a little. Still working out what is too much. But I haven't had any problems with popping seams on a bouncy castle! It gets decently warm and there is no air passing through the body in the padded areas (which is to be expected, I suppose) All the paddings (like little pillows) can be removed, and one gets better at adding and removing them every time. One of the lower leg-paddings seems to slip left and right a little, which is the only annoying part so far. With the tail detached, you need a belt that hold it in place. The holes to do so are nicely reinforced. Visual SatisfactionI am pretty pleased with it visually. The digitgrade look is well proportioned and matches the character. The markings are exactly like the reference, even though I told them they can ease the strictness with the stripes a little. So kudos to them for being more accurate there. One can usually see where the zipper probably is (it's a front zipper), although it can be minimized with a bit of brushing after getting inside. But I don't actually mind that look at all. Some poses might look a little weird, but that is probably normal for a digitigrade suit. Especially when you sit with the legs stretched forwards. Hands Wear SatisfactionThe paws were ordered extra poofy and they hecking are. it's like your fingers are slipping into little pillows that will make grabbing things (and getting into the paws) harder than traditional paws. I would recommend some thin gloved beneath, because it can be harder to slip the paws back on after slipping out of a paw with sweaty hands. Overall: They are pretty nice to wear. Visual SatisfactionThose puffy fingers are just the best for the overall look! They allow the stitched clawslits to be more visible than on thinner paws and match the rest of the character. The pawpads are soft and don't look flat. The material is some minky fabric and I could have chosen other materials. The shaving is really nice and the paws are symmetrical. Tail Wear SatisfactionThe tail is loose and has to be threaded though my own belt. As mentioned before, it threads through holes in the body and it got some sturdy loops at the body end of the tail. Since there are two loops on the tail and two holes to slip the belt through on the body, you should really attach the tail before slipping into the body. The tail got a little zipper near the base so you can take out the padding. Getting the padding into the tail is quite a bit of work with the tailtip being larger than the tail base. Visual SatisfactionThe tail looks great and has the proper proportions. The padding can get a little uneven if you store it in a bent way, making it way easier to have the end drag across the floor. And it does so for me, sadly. Feet Wear SatisfactionThe feetpaws are rather heavy, but there is a lot of foam inside. Nuke doesn't use shoes for the inside, but they make that themselves instead. It's basically completely lined. I would recommend a shoe-horn to keep the inside .. well.. steady so you don't squish around before slipping in proper. I feel like it could be a little bit tighter around the foot otherwise, but at no point you start to slip out easily. The paws are rather stompy, so you have to adjust your walking for that. Visual SatisfactionI only got one pair of feetpaws – indoor ones. They are very stompy besides me not checking that box in the request form. Yet, they look great and match the proportions of the rest nicely! However, I am not certain if they match me partial-suiting? They might be a little too massive for that (I haven't partialled yet). His digits got some stitched clawslits just like the handpaws and got some minky beans sewn to the underside of the paws and it looks great for a soft lil kitty <3 To protect the precious beans I got some fursuit-shoes. I like their look and they protect those pink pawpads from getting dirty. You have to stuff the flappy end of the suit (that drapes across the paw, mostly around the back) into the shoe as well tho or it covers almost everything from the shoes. Special FeaturesThe suit has eyelids, swappable tongues and fursuit shoes. These are mentioned in the appropriate part of the review (head and feet) Oh! And I did get a collar with a 3D printed bell! Also I am convinced there isn't anything Nuke can't do. They will 3D design a head for you if needed for a foam base – or will print the base of the head. They are talented and will do pretty much anything you ask them to do. HOWEVER – and here's the bad part about the experience of getting a suit from this maker: – You have to live with a long queue! I think it's 2.5+ or 3+ years at this point. – Communication can be pretty lackluster. I really hope they will improve that as they promise. Are you the maker of this item?
