Overall

Initial ContactI found MakeAFur through instagram and watch her work for about a year before applying for a quote, which was initially done through instagram DMs. I missed that opening due to time and funds, but I did make her next commission opening in which she had announced on her social medias!

She made it so that it was easy to understand what she needed from me to make Silvo!

Maker CommunicationWe started a first initial communication through instagram, but did eventually move to Telegram as it was much, much easier to communicate on, and I had no issues with responses or updates! All communications went smoothly and anything that affected the ETA were addressed!

Project Completion Time– How quickly was your project finished?
I feel that Silvo was finished very quickly! He was set up to be near the end of the year, and was finished right at Thanksgiving time in the US. I didn't have any set completion date, and the initial ETA for Silvo was set for the Fall, which was met!

Silvo was shipped out early December to allow for photos and even an awesome video to be made on MAF's Youtube channel, and he arrived the last week of December. I forgot who he was shipped through personally, as I had actually provided an Apple Airtag to MAF to send along with Silvo, which tracked him so much better and more accurately than the tracking site through the shipping service.

Overall Project QualityI am ecstatic with how Silvo looks and feels while wearing him! I couldn't imagine having gone to anyone else for him now that I've worked with MAF! The accuracy to my provided reference sheet along with the liberties taken to match MAF's art style has made Silvo come out to be an absolutely amazing and gorgeous work of art, and I highly recommend MakeAFur's work for anyone who may be in the market for a big, snarly suit.

Components

Head

Wear Satisfaction– Are you satisfied with how it fits you?
I am ecstatic with how well it fits! It's perfectly snug with minimal slipping and still up off my face and has room for my glasses. It doesn't feel like there is much weight in the head, and I was actually surprised with how little it weighed when I first unboxed Silvo! The head was also lined in a very comfortable neoprene and it wipes down with ease. The maker asked me for what color of neoprene I preferred as at the time there was problems with dye leaking from some neoprene fabrics, and we opted to go with white neoprene, which does not affect anything wear-wise. It's just white in the face part instead of black.

– How is the ventilation?
The ventilation in the head is absolutely wonderful, very breathable and I don't feel even the slightest temperature change when wearing just the head. The big, wide grin allows for amazing airflow and the eyes being made from mesh do help as well! I've had no issues with breathing so far!

– How is the vision?
The vision is pretty good! There is an ok sized blind spot in the front, it's not too big and I'm not missing much there but I can see fairly well still, The mesh doesn't obscure hardly any of the visibility for myself. I can also somewhat see out of Silvo's mouth, which is always nice and I make use of when going up and down steps and stairs.

Visual Satisfaction– How is the symmetry?
I have no issues with the symmetry, it looks absolutely perfect on both sides to me, from the shape, to the fur lengths and the markings!

– Is the shaving even?
The shaving is very clean and neat, all fur lengths looks very purposefully shaved and it's very smooth! I allowed for MAF to have liberties with fur lengths and she delivered with stunning results in all areas!

– How does the material (e.g. fur) feel and look?
The NFTech fur is a little more coarse, but I'm sure that comes with the territory of the longer hair fibers, all the rest of the furs used are very soft and the airbrushing does not affect the feel for me personally, and it looks absolutely awesome!

– How satisfied are you with the expression and overall appearance of the head?
I am ecstatic! I could not have asked for a better maker with Silvo, especially with the look of the head! I love the expression in how is has the big, toothy, fierce grin but also a slight goofy energy it has! Absolutely perfect for Silvo. The follow me eyes make taking photos fun, and also add life into the head, as if he's staring you down.

– Does it match the concept art?
If you ask me, he does! He has MAF's style so the look is different, but that's why I went with MAF. Her style was perfect for what I was looking for with Silvo and I had complete trust in her choices!

One-Piece Body

Wear Satisfaction– Are you satisfied with how it fits you?
Absolutely! The suit is very comfortable, it feels like wearing pajamas! The padding does make it a little difficult to move around, but I am also not exactly the most mobile person myself and I am rather stiff from work. It's also a bit heavy, but there's a lot of suit and padding to lug around there!

– How is the quality and durability?
The quality of the suit is absolutely amazing, the seams are clean and strong with minimal excess, I have taken a few tumbles and have squatted and full on ran in the suit and there is no damage. Running it through the washer, I found no issues with the suit as well and it handled being washed very well.

– What is the interior like?
There is some lining with a sports-mesh like material for padded areas, such as the chest, the thighs, the forearms and in the shoulders and it works out pretty well from what I can tell! Most of the inside of the body suit is not lined, but that's fine by me as I wear under armor with my suit to help with the feeling of the backing of fur.

– How is the airflow?
It's a given that the inside is already pretty warm, but I don't get extremely too hot in suit! The heat works out just fine for me as I already mentioned, I wear under armor heatgear to help keep me cool and to help keep the suit cleaner. I feel air travels just fine, and sometimes I do feel it come up from the opening for the tail which is a little bit a surprising, but not extremely unwelcomed!

Visual Satisfaction– How is the symmetry?
The symmetry in the body is absolutely amazing considering the amount of markings MAF had to do! I absolutely love the look!

– Is the shaving even?
The shaving is very clean and well done, all the fur lengths really do add to the suit's overall look and I'm absolutely stunned by how gorgeous it looks! MAF does absolutely amazing with fur all the varied fur lengths!

– How does the material (e.g. fur) feel and look?
The fur is very soft, and it all flows down the body smoothly! Very easy to brush and clean!

– How satisfied are you with the selection of colors and materials used?
Silvo is a monochrome black, gray and white character so colors isn't much to be commented on! Fairly simple palette! The padding, however, was requested to give a more masculine look as an AFAB trans person who is pre-transition and MAF delivered to create a shape that not only makes me look masc and look good, but it actually has helped to relieve my own dysphoria. The shape of the suit overall while being worn is exactly what I had hoped for! The arms of the suit are also padded out and they flow very nicely with the suit in my opinion!

– Does it match the concept art?
It does! I am totally satisfied with how the markings and shape were adjusted to fit MAF's style from my own as my own style has anatomy choices that could not have been replicated into a suit easily, not without breaking some bones.

Hands

Wear Satisfaction– Are you satisfied with how the hands fit you?
Overall yes, they're just a little big but they're very comfortable, and look cool! My wrists do not show if I stretch out my arms and they stay on decently well despite my small hands. They're easy to put on, but I do require some assistance tucking in the last hand under the sleeve!

– How is the quality and durability?
I would say the hands are very strong, and very well made! The claws are made of a fabric material so they aren't too heavy and still look awesome.

– What is the interior like?
The inside of the hands are lined and are very comfortable to wear. I have no issues taking them off or putting them on, and I just throw them in a delicates bag and wash on cold separate from the rest of the suit as the inner lining is black.

Visual Satisfaction– How is the symmetry?
There's not much to comment about with symmetry marking wise as both hands are black, but the pattern and shape looks very good on both sides.

– Is the shaving even?
Like with the rest of the suit, the shaving is perfectly smooth and all fur lengths look intentionally and gives a nice flare to otherwise simple hands!

– How does the material (e.g. fur) feel and look?
The fur is like on the rest of the body, soft and smooth! The claws have a leather-like feel to them and the inner lining is very smooth and cool feeling.

– Do they match the concept art?
They absolutely do! The 3 fingered look was something I was a little nervous over, but MAF tackled the challenge and came out with flying colors.

Tail

Wear Satisfaction– How satisfied are you with how the tail(s) fit?
The tail fits pretty well! It's a little heavy, but that is probably due to the tail being about the same length that I am tall and being full of stuffing. It is a very long tail!

– How is the quality and durability?
I'd say it's pretty durable, I baby my tail and like to carry it around when outside. The quality is definitely very good, it feels sturdy all over and especially at the base! The base has a stiff plate in it, making it sit against my back and it actually has the belt loop built into the tail so I don't have to worry about any elastic snapping while I run around. I definitely do prefer this tail's base over the traditional elastic loops, and the stiff base to the tail is not uncomfortable by any means for me.

Visual Satisfaction– How is the symmetry?
The tail is mainly just alternating black and white rings, but they do look good! all the way around!

– Is the shaving even?
I don't believe there's much shaving, just a big ol' fluffy tail!

– How does the material (e.g. fur) feel and look?
The tail is very soft and stuffed with stuffing, so it's wonderfully squishy!

– How satisfied are you with the selection of colors and materials used?
The fur is very quality, and the colors of the character are very basic so there's not much to say about the colors.

– Does the tail move or act how you expected?
I believe so! It drags behind me when I let it, but not too far behind and I am aware of where it is most of the time.

– Does the tail match the concept art?
There was an extra ring added to the tail but I have literally no issues with this as it still looks really good!

Feet

Wear Satisfaction– Are you satisfied with how the feet fit you?
Absolutely, MAF had me go out and buy slip-on athletic shoes to install inside of the feet and it has helped with wearing them a very comfortable experience. The feet really don't slide off or show anything as they are build like a knee-high boot and zip onto my bodysuit prior to putting it on, so I experience no skin showing or any slippage.

– How is the quality and durability?
I find them to be very durable as they have withstood more pavement than I would have likes due to sandals failing at outings. They still look very good and there is no damage as far as I've checked! Otherwise, I've been able to move around with them on and find no damage.

– What is the interior like?
The inside is lined and very comfortable as the feet were built off of shoes I had sent to MAF, very easy to clean as I give them a good wipe down on the inside and brush out the furs! There is long fur near the bottom of the feet and it just track along leaves and dirt that is easily brushed out and cleaned off.

Visual Satisfaction– How is the symmetry?
Like with the hands, the feet are also all black. There are no markings visible, but the overall pattern looks very good on both sides!

– Is the shaving even?
The shaving is very even, and the varied fur lengths still add flair where it would have been otherwise a little plain had there been no variation!

– How does the material (e.g. fur) feel and look?
The fur, like on the rest of the suit, is soft and very good quality!

– How satisfied are you with the selection of colors and materials used?
The feet are pretty much a solid black, so no comment on the colors! The materials used however really pull the look together. Everything is fabric, from the claws to the paw pads on the bottom! They feel nice and smooth, and I've had no issues with them whatsoever.

– Do they match the concept art?
There was liberties taken with the fur lengths that I find so much more appealing than the original design. Needless to say, I adore these footpaws! Even how the weird thumb-like appendage I still don't know what to call came out very well!

Special FeaturesSilvo does have LED lights in his eyes, I haven't used them much due to my inability to find a strong enough battery pack to run them! They light up blue and I think they look great!
