It was very easy to get a quote from the Koshka Fursuits website. Since I was a minor at the time of purchase, my parent submitted the quote form for me and we got a response in less than 48 hours. Once slots opened, you can use the quote kept on the website to apply for a slot. Once I was accepted for a slot my parent was able to pay in two installments for me, because again, I was a minor at the time of purchase so it would go against the TOS to be paying out of my own account. All parts of this process were very easy and clear.
Yoshi (the maker) was amazing to work with, she always responded within a day when I asked questions and sent WIP images for every major part of the making progress (completion of foam base, patterns, furring the head, etc) as well as letting me know when the commission before me was almost done.
After being accepted for a slot there were 4 or 5 commissions in the queue before mine, which was about 6 months of work (which in my opinion is a very reasonable wait time for the number of commissions and honestly quicker than I expected). Once my commission was started it took a little under two months to complete.
Everything I received was very high quality and durable. I really love this makers style, and this suit fits the style very well. I honestly can't think of any critiques, everything seemed perfect to me!
Head fits very well! It's fully lined which adds extra comfort to wearing it. From what I can tell, the lining does not absorb much sweat, but to be fair, I tend to sweat less than the average person might. The ventilation is great and I can breath very well. Vison is also great. One of the features my head has is interchangeable eyes and both sets of eyes are equally easy to see through. There is practically no blind spot unless I put the magnetic eyelids on, but even then it is very small and does not impair sight much at all.
The head surpassed in greatness than what I envisioned. It looks incredibly accurate to the reference and has perfect symmetry. Both sets of follow-me eyes look beautiful and are probably one of my favorite parts of the suit. From what I can tell the shaving is very even and the fur both looks and feels great. The head uses both short and long fur and the different lengths flow into each other well.
The hands are also fully lined, and feel very easy to wear. My hands don't get hot at all. It has a great balance of wiggle room but not too much to the point of the paws falling off. Small objects can be hard to pick up, but not really a problem for me and is a given with the puffy style. I like the small tags on the inside the have an "L" or "R" to designate whether the paw is meant for the left or right hand. All parts of the hands are very durable, nothing has ever broken in the slightest.
The markings look perfect and are the same on each paw. All the nails face the correct direction. The nails are made of resin and make a nice clacking sound. The shaving is even and the markings are very distinguishable.
The tail is very easy to wear. It has kept it's original shape for as long as I've had it. Very durable, great for tail wags of any size!
The shaving is even and all spike look the same. It is very easy to brush and does not shed a ton. I did ask for the tail to have a round end instead of pointy (which is how the ref sheet looks) and it came out exactly how I wanted it to.
There are two special features: Interchangeable eyes and a set of wings. The eyes are both perfectly accurate to the reference and fit in the head easily. There are magnets inside the eye sockets so the eyes stay in place. The wings are so well made! They attach via magnets on a backplate/harness that can be buckled underneath clothing so it gives the illusion of the wings looking like they are attached by nothing. The magnets are very strong and the wings stay in place without drooping or falling off. The markings on the wings look amazing and exactly like the reference sheet.
