Making initial contact was pretty easy when requesting a commission. She announced open commissions on her twitter linked to a google document.
Communication between the maker and customer was sporadic and I went months without updates.
Her TOS stated one to three months from final payment, however due to the workload she took on, health issues, and her moving from down south to up north, it took about 16 months overall.
Overall satisfaction is about a 5 of 10 for a first time partial. Would I recommend Sarah? No. After seeing other makers products, I would go with another before choosing her.
The head was ok for fit, took some getting use to as a first time wearer. The fan that was installed was a 9v fan with a 5v USB hook up. It didn't spin as fast as it should due to the lack of voltage. The retaining band on the back broke off during the first wear and I had to have someone at TFF fix it. I also replaced the 9v fan with a 5v USB fan from the people who fixed my head. It worked much better at keeping me cool. The zipper on the back had small teeth and would get stuck every time you would open or close it. I just kept it at half open for ease of use. Sarah would not compensate for her head failing on first use and told me to just use someone at the con to fix it. I then just decided to not work with her afterwards for the fan due to how inadequate her support was for any "warranty" work.
During the following days, the hair's glue line could be seen and made me feel like it was cheaply put together.
The head is not lined, it's straight fabric on skin, but the premade head base has some foam padding. After upgrading the fan, the ventilation issue was way better. It actually kept me cool on the con floor. Vision was limited, as any other head. You can see well enough to walk around.
The head's shape and construction look well and it's balanced decently that it doesn't feel lopsided. It's extremely close to my ref and Sarah was willing to work with the updated color on my ears since it was caught early. The fur shaving was done to standard and it feels like any other head. I'm mostly satisfied with the head, but I don't like the hair used, nor the glasses.
The hands do not fit. They felt decently constructed, but I could not wear them, as they were too small for my hands.
They look symmetrical, but again, I could not wear them due to being too small.
They do not match the concept art as there are no purple pads on the hands. They are just all black with black claws.
Would you recommend this maker?
This means the reviewer would NOT recommend Sarahcat Fursuits unless they significantly change their practices.

I don’t follow this maker super closely but this seems like oddly low quality work from her? Especially compared to other suits she completed at the time. 🙁
