Prior ExperienceYes, I previously reviewed this head but am resubmitting my review due to believing that my previous review was inaccurate.

Wear TimeLess than 15 hours

Informed Maker of IssuesYes, I contacted her regarding the vision being poor, the construction/quality of the fursuit head and paws being low (particularly holes and seams falling apart) and the fursuit head not resembling my character that it was meant to look like.

Overall

Initial ContactIt was very easy to contact the maker.

I found her initially on Etsy. I messaged her on Etsy at first, then via e-mail.

She did stop responding via e-mail for about a month at one point, but when I switched to messaging her on Instagram communication was much better.

Payments were made via paypal.

Maker CommunicationThe maker usually replied right away, save for one month where she didn't reply to e-mails, but once I contacted her via Instagram she responded right away. Perhaps it was an issue with e-mailing.

I have mixed feelings about the quality of communication as she frequently said she would be sending WIP photos (often saying she would send them on a specific day, or within the week etc.) but I never ever recieved any.

I should have confronted her about this but I hate confrontation and feeling like I am bothering someone so I didn't. I now realize that I definitely should have.

Project Completion TimeETA
She took a fair bit longer than the ETA but that was understandable and I didn't have much of an issue with it.

She initially gave me an ETA of 4 months, her TOS at the time also stated that 4 months was a typical ETA for her commissions.

Shipping
Once she had completed my commission she shipped it right away and it arrived very quickly. She shipped from the UK to Canada and it arrived in 5 days.

Overall Project QualityHead
I was honestly disappointed with the head. With both the appearance (as it did not look like my character reference) and the quality/durability.

The quality and durability was disappointing especially being that I didn't wear the head much and have always been very careful handling and storing the head and partials.

But the maker did address these issues when confronted in a way that was very professional and I was pleased with that.

Hand paws and Tails
I love the way these look. The appearance of them are perfect and exactly what I wanted.

I am just disappointed with the quality and durability of the hand paws. I have always handled and stored the paws and tails very carefully and properly.

When compared to the maker's other work
The paws and tails are great looking like her other work.

The head however was a huge surprise as her other work looks far better. Her other animals all looked very realistic and like the animal they are meant to be.

I did speak with a few other's who own fursuit heads made by this maker, and the vision seems to be a consistent problem.

Her abilities to make realistic animals/props/costumes etc. is amazing. It seems like this head was just a weird fluke somehow. She has made house cats before that looked great so I'm not really sure what happened with this one.

Components

Head

Wear SatisfactionHow it feels to wear it
Head is a good size, I really liked the smaller size.

Fairly comfortable as far as the way it feels on my head.

It is a bit loose, if I was to continue wearing it I would want to add elastic straps to it in order to keep my head in place better.

The head is unlined.

Vision
Vision is very poor.

The mesh vision holes do not line up well and therefore cannot be seen out of, save for a very tiny sliver.

As a result I could not safely walk around in this head. The head was therefore used only for taking pictures and short video clips.

Ventilation
Ventilation was poor/stuffy. I usually propped the mouth open in order to improve the ventilation.

Moveable jaw
The jaw is moveable which I love. I did have to add my own padding in order for me to be able to operate the jaw.

Visual SatisfactionI am honestly not very happy with how it looks. It was supposed to be a housecat based on a mix of a tabbycat and a toyger. But this looks more like a fantasty wildcat of some sort. The end result does not resemble the reference photos I sent her.

The jaw is also huge, and I actually painted part of it to try and make it appear smaller.

That being said, her airbrushing was very well done so I did really like that. Due to the markings all being airbrushed, the fur is very short and crunchy feeling.

Regarding WIPs
I didn't get to see any WIPs of the head so I didn't see it until after she was finished it. She did say numerous times that she would send WIP photos but never did. I should have insisted on seeing some but I didn't want to bother her.
If I had seen WIP photos I would have requested changes.

Quality
At first it seemed well made, but over time I noticed a lot of flaws.

It is very important to keep in mind that I have not worn this head much at all. Due to the vision I was not able to walk around while wearing the head, so it was only used for photos and short video clips.

I made sure to always handle the head with care and to store it properly.

As shown in the attached photos there is a lot of seams ripping and falling apart.
I have found an awful lot of holes, over seven. The seams do not appear to be well sewn.

The back of the ears have holes/space where they meet the head in which they seem to be detaching? You can see the foam.

Paint on the teeth chipped off.

Maker's response to these issues
The maker immediately apologized and she offered to make me a completely new head free of charge. I agreed to this.

This was very generous of her and I am very happy that she offered me that.

Hands

Wear SatisfactionThe paws are comfortable, and they fit very well. The five finger and slender style makes grasping/holding things much easier. I really like that.

Visual SatisfactionAppearance
They look amazing! The squishy silicone paw pads are so cute, the airbrushing and coloring is perfect!

I love the way they look.

Quality
There are a lot of issues with the paws.

I have found so, so many holes and seams falling apart. The attached photos show examples of this.

The seams where the cream colored fur is attached to the rust colored fur are particularly bad.

The silicone pads were not attached with many stitches, and so they were not securely attached.

Just about all of the claws have nearly fallen off. The sewing used to attach them became loose, resulting in the claws beginning to fall off.

I have since reattached them myself.

The paws are not lined (though that is not an issue at all, as it is common and the paws are still comfortable to wear.)

Maker's response to these issues
The maker offered to have me send the paws back to her and she would make me a new pair, but I declined and opted instead to repair them myself.

Tail

Wear SatisfactionThe maker made me two tails. I tend to only wear the one, but both are made the same.

They are lightweight and comfortable to wear.

The only issues I have is that the base of the tail is rounded so it does not lay flat against my body. I plan to remove some of the stuffing in order to remedy this.

The belt loop is also very small so it cannot fit on a normal sized belt. I have used a very thin belt and ribbon in order to wear it.

The stitching for the belt loop was loose so I would need to fix it, but since I am replacing the loop I won't bother.

I did not mention this to the maker as it's not a big issue as far as I'm concerned. (I also felt bad with how many issues I brought up to her so I didn't want to mention the tail as the issues aren't a big deal.)

Visual SatisfactionThe tails both look fantastic! The airbrushing and colors are astounding and they are wired so I can bend and pose them.

I am very, very happy with how the tails look.

RatingFursuitReview rates by asking the question:
Would you recommend this maker?

NO This review has been marked with a negative rating.
This means the reviewer would NOT recommend The Forgotten Imp unless they significantly change their practices.

Final CommentsI hate to post a negative review but I don't feel right recommending my maker due to the issues I had.

It is unfortunate as this maker seems very talented and she does this as a profession so she is obviously very skilled.

My experience was just largely very negative.
