Contacting the maker was very easy.
In this case I contacted her regarding issues I had with the first head she made me.
She offered to make me this head to replace the original head she made.
She was very good with communication, prompt replies and lots of WIP photos.
She created this head a lot faster than the first, so I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I received it.
Important note
This head was made by the maker for me as a replacement head for the original head she made me. The original head had numerous issues and she offered to make me a replacement head, free of charge to make up for it.
I want it noted that it was very kind and generous of the maker to offer me that. I really appreciate it.
My reviews on this head and the original head/partial that she made me is not meant to bash the maker, but I just feel like I should be honest about my experience.
I get lots of people asking who made my fursuit and I just want others to be aware of my experience as I couldn't find any reviews on this maker (save for one on this website for a black wolf she made a long time ago, but it had virtually no details included in it.)
Satisfaction
I LOVE the way this head looks. It is fantastic.
I just wish the sewing and gluing was done better, so I didn't have to make so many repairs.
When compared to the maker's other work
This head is a good visual representation of her other work. I'm unsure if her other work has the same issues with quality/durability though.
She is a talented maker in her ability to make her creations look good.
Note:
This head is a replacement head that the maker offered to make for me due to there being issues with the original head that she made for me. I have submitted a review for that head as well.
It was very generous and professional of her to offer to make me a new head, free of charge (hence why I declined to specify the cost) to make up for the issues I had with the original head.
How it feels to wear it
Head is a good size, I really like the smaller size. It fits well.
Fairly comfortable as far as the way it feels on my head.
The head is unlined.
Vision
Vision is really good via the big dome eyes. The giant Puss-in-boots style eyes are coated with sunglass film and so I can see out of them. It works very well.
The only visual issues I have with them in having them fog up, but the built in fan helps a lot and I usually prop the moveable jaw open. The fan paired with some anti-fog wipes/gel works really well to remedy this. So it's not an issue really.
The mesh vision holes don't offer much vision, so I mainly see out of the actual eyes.
Ventilation
Ventilation isn't bad at all. If the fan is turned on it is pretty good. I also like to prop the jaw open so that helps a lot as well.
The fan really is godsend.
Moveable jaw
The jaw is moveable which I love. I did have to add my own padding in order for me to be able to operate the jaw.
Though I tend to prop it open to increase ventilation.
I absolutely love the way this head looks. It looks amazing! It's realistic but also cute!
It matches my character references very we and I am very, very happy with it.
Quality
The quality is a bit up and down.
It has some similar issues to the first head I had made by this maker. (This head is a replacement head for the first one she made for me.)
As well as other issues unique to this head.
It is very important to note that this head hasn't been worn a lot, just in short amounts for photos and videos.
I make sure to always handle the head with care and to store it properly.
As shown in the attached photos there are some seams ripping and falling apart.
I have found several holes.
The back of the ears have holes/space where they meet the head in which they seem to be detaching? You can see the head's inside through them.
The eyes are made of two parts. The outter domes of the eyes are mounted to the head, but the inner plastic parts (that have the iris paint on them) are adhered using silicone caulk (like what is used in bathrooms.)
This has resulted in the eyes coming unglued and falling apart. The foam that was lining the eyes has come off due to the silicone not being an appropriate adhesive.
I will have to remove all of the silicone and replace it with a proper glue.
The silicone tongue also fell off as it was adhered with the same silicone. I will have to reattach that.
Maker's response to these issues
I only brought up the tongue falling off to the maker. I asked what the tongue had been glued with and she informed me it was silicone caulk, like bathroom caulk.
She didn't seem very pleased with me bringing this issue up to her, so I didn't want to bring up any of the other issues. I hate confrontation and I'd rather just fix the issue myself, rather than bother the maker with them.
Would you recommend this maker?
This means the reviewer would NOT recommend The Forgotten Imp unless they significantly change their practices.
The amount of repairs I've had/still have to make to this head is quite substantial, especially being with how careful I've been with it and how little I have worn it.

Silicone seal is an *incredibly* poor choice in adhesive and given that this is a recent head it makes me concerned this method has been used on other recent heads. I hope she has since corrected that practice given that by all appearances her heads look great. Unfortunately looking good is only half of the equation when it comes to constructing a wearable and durable fursuit.
I strongly agree. I was really shocked when she told me she used silicone caulk as the adhesive. The whole experience with this partial and heads by her has just been really unpleasant sadly.
