They're very approachable, and getting a quote through Telegram was quite easy. They have a good social media presence, especially in Instagram. Their TOS were clear, thorough and very professiinal, which made me confident at my purchase.
We communicated casually throgh Telegram and officially via e-mail, for the sake of organization. Every time there was a problem during the confection process, they always explained the reasons and offered a couple of alternatives. I felt cared for at all times.
Even though they couldn't finish it within the original schedule, I didn't mind waiting a couple of extra months considering how much care and work they were visibly putting on my commission. Besides, the Covid-19 pandemic hit right in the middle of the process and their work dynamis were directly impacted.
Alecrim Carmim's work exceeded every expectation. Hreter's half suit is beautiful, unique, very comfortable to wear and of overall great quality.
The head is surprisingly light and ventilated, which is great for longer suiting sessions. The antlers and ears are pretty big (personal request), which make it tough to navigate without hitting someting, but they're sturdy enough as not to break or getting deformed from light impacts. The visibility is great, especially when compared with other suits I've tried in the past. The only blank spot is right under my nose, and considering how tall I am, it can be problematic sometimes. On that note, the makers made it sure that I could wear my glasses while suiting without making the head feel loose and I still haven't had a problem with the lenses getting blurry from the heat. The detachable antlers are a great touch, allowing me to transport them safely.
Alecrim Carmim's style is very unique and they do their best to make it work both in a functional and aesthetic level. The proportions are beautiful and I really adore how they airbrushed the fur just enough to bring it closer to how my fursona looks like. The antlers are wonderful, they didn't have to give them so many hand made details, but the final result is stunning. It overall looks unique, high quality and alligned with my original character's design.
This style of hooves was a personal decision and they come with some usability concessions. I always need help to put them on properly and the higher sleeves often slip down my arm and since my hands are useless, I need to ask somebody else to pull them up again. Despite those problems, which were predicted and explained to me by the makers during the suit's confection, it captures the "hoovy" feeling I was going for. Clapping them is a blast, and despite the limited movement, they still can be quite expressive.
They look just like I wanted them. The fur's quality and lenght ate ideal and the hooves metalic tones are stunning. I really like the little visual and tactile details.
It's a pretty big tail for a deer, which can make it challenging to sit and get through crowded corridors, but is it not the point? It's not too heavy and wearing it on my belt is pretty easy. It can also be used as a secret stash, since it has a zipper underneath it. It is filled with a hand made pillow that gives it the perfect consistency and squishness.
Since it is proportional to the head, it's a big tail, bigger than it would be proportionally to you own body. But it works really well, in a cartoony way. As you walk around, it adorably bounces behind you, catching everyone's eyes.
The antlers are a nice touch. You can attach them to the head through a plastic pin, a velcro band and some hidden magnets. It's the most fragile part of the suit, but it's very easy to attach and detach as I wish. They're also surprisingly light and durable, already surviving a fair share of impacts on lower ceilings, door frames and lower branches.
