Photos of Completed Product Head Wear Satisfaction The head fit was exactly as anticipated. It provides plenty of room for air to circulate, while not being too loose. The lining job is very professionally done, and provides a comfortable fit, even while not wearing a balaclava. While more than likely not intentional from the maker as I did not specify it, as someone who wears glasses, they do not feel uncomfortable while wearing the head, and work perfectly with the eye mesh. Vision is above average, and ventilation is great, considering the length of the jaw opening. Visual Satisfaction The visual quality of the head met all of my expectations. I was looking for a more toony style that was not necessarily a copy of the common style of toony suit heads that are around currently, and seeing King Krow’s prior work, I was hoping to be able to obtain that with Keziah. The fur quality is superb and doesn’t bunch unnecessarily at any point. The ears are perfectly floppy, while still being sturdy enough to withstand a full 12+ hour weekend of suiting and convention activities. The antlers were the exact size and quality I was hoping for, and are affixed to the head in a manner where I am not concerned about them being accidentally ripped off. The teeth were even better than I had anticipated, and the fur shaving created a seamless looking head. Special Attachments and Features I requested Keziah to have antlers, as seen in the concept art. The manner in which they are affixed to the head allows for them to be suspended above it slightly, and not just laying flat on the head and not very dynamic. Very impressed with the craftsmanship of them. Body Wear Satisfaction The bodysuit is an absolutely perfect fit, displaying the maker’s ability to very effectively read dimensions off of a duct tape dummy. There are no points of the suit that feel loose or too tight. The arm sleeves do occasionally ride slightly higher than the end of the paws, but I knew this may have been an issue when I was making the DTD (this was my first time doing one, and I wasn’t 100% positive on how far past the wrist to go). That being said, this only happens when I really accentuate a pose and put stress on the arm sleeves, which does not occur very often, and is quickly remedied once noticed. The seams of the bodysuit are very sturdy, and were put through a very thorough stress test during Keziah’s first con. I performed flips and various strenuous activities and the entire bodysuit moved with me like a champ without any blown seams or tearing. The zipper is placed on the front of the torso, and is easily accessible both in and out of suit. It is the perfect length to get in and out without too much strain on the seams. The digi legs offer comfortable padding that doesn’t move around more than necessary. Wearing a pair of thermal pants and an A-shirt was comfortable, as none of the interior of the bodysuit felt itchy or irritating. I did not notice any excessive heat due to the construction of the suit. The feet are attached to the bodysuit and are sized just slightly larger than my typical sole size, but this was at my request as I was fearful of too tight of a fit. This allows for easy entry for my feet into the footpaws without them flailing around while in use. Visual Satisfaction The bodysuit’s colors transition seamlessly, and the fit doesn’t have any unsightly bunching or excess material. The symmetry is perfectly executed, and the entire suit’s coloring was exactly what I was hoping for when initially commissioning Keziah. Hands and Feet Wear Satisfaction The handpaws are very sturdy and feel very quality when wearing them. At no point do I feel like seams will bust. They are more difficult to put back on after a long session of suiting, but this is to be expected when sweating as much as one does. The lining used inside of the paws is very comfortable, and the end of the lining that attaches to the outside of the paws is very well sewn, so there is no concern that it will eventually detach. With the arm sleeves being slightly shorter than they should be, the seam of the lining is occasionally visible, but not at the fault of the maker. Visual Satisfaction The appearance of the paws is high quality, with very plush fingers and paw pads that received many compliments during Painted Desert Fur Con. The fur flows seamlessly with the arm sleeves to create a great continuity with the entire suit. Tails Wear Satisfaction The tail sits comfortably in place, utilizing it’s belt loopholes with the hole in the bodysuit. The tail tends to fall to either side of me when sitting in suit without any problems. There are no concerns with blown seams or the belt loops coming off, as the construction of the entire tail is sturdy. Visual Satisfaction The tail is as anticipated, and is a very basic color scheme and style. The fur transition from white to black is very well done. Overall Product Satisfaction How well does everything fit together and match up? The entire suit has a continuity of color and fur that creates a very professionally executed look. No portion of the suit seems poorly or cheaply constructed, and having spent two weekends in constant performance, I am very pleased with the quality of suit I have received. When originally commissioning King Krow, I knew that this style wasn’t necessarily their niche, but they were able to bring Keziah to life in every way I was hoping for. The fit and movement ability did not deteriorate over long suiting days, and even after 30+ hours of suiting, still feels as good as the first wearing. Overall Project Quality The quality of the suit is what I would expect from a maker with a decade of experience, and I believe is a strong competitor with the more well-known fursuit making companies. For the price I paid and the time I waited, I don’t believe you can receive the professional quality anywhere else. The construction of the suit is such that I believe with proper cleaning and maintenance, Keziah will be around for many years to come. Purchase Process Initial Contact Initial contact with the maker was made through Instagram, which appears to be their main source of business communication. Response was made within the same day with a quote. Once terms were agreed upon, it was simple to relay dimension information and obtain an address to send the DTD to. Maker Response Time The maker never took more than 24 hours to respond to any questions/comments/concerns during the entire process. Any potential delays and time taken off was effectively relayed publicly as to keep commissioners informed. Maker Professionalism The maker was very professional throughout the entire process. The communication was professional and friendly, and I didn’t feel as if I was inconveniencing them at all during the process. They were consistent with providing updates and WIP photos, even when not requested, which was very well received. Project Completion Time Considering the length of time I’ve seen many other professional makers take when creating full suits, I am very pleased with a <1 year turnaround. Keziah was not the only commission being taken at the time, and for the quality of suit I received, I would have anticipated about a year wait. The maker was very communicative and receptive to my desire to have Keziah finished in time for PDFC, and was able to have him shipped to my hotel in time for the con. Final Comments King Krow is a force to be reckoned with in the fursuit making realm. I try not to be overly generous when writing reviews, but it's not every day that you can get a high quality fursuit that meets your expectations for a price point under $2,000. The entire commissioning experience was positive, as the communication did not allow for any doubt to be cast on the project. I was consistently provided updates and photos to show that work was being performed, and asked my opinion during many points of the process to ensure that the suit I was receiving would be exactly as I anticipated. Keziah held up to heavy stress and activity during Painted Desert Fur Con and the subsequent days after as I continued to suit when I returned home, only to hold up to even the most excessive and unexpected movements. The toony nature of the suit brought to life the cute Bernese Mountain dog that I had envisioned, and I firmly believe that King Krow will rise to be one of the better known fursuit makers in the community with time.
