Very easy. I contacted OpalMutt through telegram after joining her Patreon and was able to pre-claim the fursuit in a matter of minutes after signing a contract.
Opalmutt responds in a matter of 1-3 hours on Telegram, so communicate is very good. She responds professionally and we treated the whole transaction like any other business transaction.
I pre-claimed the fursuit partial in December before the whole fursuit was fully done, and had it shipped to me in January, so the completion time was just under a month and shipping times/completion times of the fursuit parts were communicated to me.
I am very happy with how the premade fursuit partial turned out. The structural quality is extremely well done and the visual quality/shaving/expressions match those of other well established, high end makers. The style is somewhat consistent with other fursuits OpalMutt has made, but the only difference seems to be using either 2-D eyes or 3-D eyes. Everything fits perfectly.
The partial came with several other goodies as well, such as candy, fursuit spray, fursuit brush, a doodle, a sewing kit, and two sets of fursuit tongues. The shipping and completion was done in less than a month, given that it was a premade. My expectations for the price were met 100% and I believe this maker could easily raise their prices and still get the same amount of demand. I hope to get a digi bodysuit and feetpaws from her someday when she's less busy with moving.
The head is extremely comfortable to wear and is lined with Neoprene, making it very easy to slide the head on regardless of your head size and sweat resistant. The inside of the head has extremely good ventilation given that it has a pickable nose and a large maw/mouth where air can circulate very well inside. The vision is very good as well, given that the eye mesh is waterproof AND made out of a durable and light material.
The head is absolutely stunning. I have not been to any conventions yet with the fursuit partial, but nearly everybody I've met has loved the style and the various expressions the eyelids can do.
– Symmetry is very even, with two cheek dots on both sides.
– The shave quality is top notch. OpalMutt did a fantastic job at making sure the shaving was smooth, crisp, and clean. There as no signs of wrinkled or matted fur anywhere on the head.
– The fur used was luxury shag. which is standard to be used among fursuit makers. The fur feels gentle to the touch and looks very even.
– The head has 2-D eyes, but the visual quality of the eyes and facial expressions are top tier. OpalMutt gave me two sets of eyelids which can do three different expressions: Sassy/sultry, tired/weary, and relaxed.
– The fursuit head matches the concept art perfectly, given that both the reference and the fursuit were created by the same maker.
The hands are extremely comfortable to wear and feel very soft inside despite being unlined on the inside. They are a one size fits all and it is very easy to hold or pick up objects despite having puffy paw fingers. The stitching on the handpaws feels secure, and I have no worries about the seams ever coming loose. The claws are also sewed on, which is much better than other handpaws where the claws are hot glued on.
The visual quality handpaws are marvelous. Opal spent a great deal of time on the shave quality of the handpaws and I personally think they turned out excellent.
– The symmetry on both handpaws are identical, which is great.
– The fur is made out of a combination of luxury shag for the primary fur and shaved down luxury shag or minky for the pawpads, and they both feel soft to the touch.
– The claws are plush claws and look quite nice on the paw fingers. They are all sewn on evenly with not a single lopsided claw.
– The paws also match the concept art very well, given that the concept art was also made by Opal.
The tail has a set of belt loops at the base and are easy to slide a belt through. Although the tail itself is somewhat stiff, it fits against my waist nice and firmly and does not slide off. The seams appear to be very durable and there is also a zipper on the bottom of the tail to unstuff the polyfil for washing.
I have nothing concerning to say regarding the tail's visual quality. The shave quality is perfect, the symmetry is perfect, the fur quality is luxury shag and the colors match the reference well, the feeling of the tail at the tip is nice and squishy, and the wag-ability is decent.
