Features: Hair / Wig Concept Art Photos of Completed Product Overall Initial ContactThe initial contact was quite easy via telegram and getting a quote was simple as well through the makers form on the website. There were also the makers requirements (e.g. Foo Foo doesn’t need a DTD but does work with clothes to create a cut). Any further questions were answered conveniently over telegram. Maker CommunicationThe communication is a dream. Whenever you have a problem, you can just write to her and she gets back to you within a few minutes (sometimes hours, but that's rare). The same goes for questions regarding the creation of your suit. She stays in touch with you to make sure everything is to your liking and discusses any problems or suggestions with you so that you get the best suit possible. Project Completion TimeWith less than a year from contract to my suit I would consider her quite a fast maker with usually one finished suit per month. Shipping was no problem; I simply went to her workshop to pick up my suit and even had some final touches regarding the fit of my suit. Overall Project QualityThe overall quality is more than you would expect! Pretty much everything is reenforced against damages from wearing to ensure the longest possible fun with the suit. And this not on the expense of visual quality. Definitely worth the price and exceeding my expectations from when I first placed my order. Everything together creates a fantastic look which did already last quite some wearing hours and hopefully will last many more. Components Head Wear SatisfactionDue to the back of head harness and foam upholstery, exactly how much I needed to sit nice and snug in the head, it sits pretty much perfect! It is neither snout nor back-heavy. No problems with sweat and pretty easy cleaning thanks to the printed base. Ventilation even without opening my mouth is very fine and air circulation poses no problem. Regarding the vision, for a realistic head, it is great. I don’t have much of a blind spot and have quite a good view even without turning my head. In normal situations I have no problems with navigating even without spotters etc. Only really difficult environments require a spotter. Visual SatisfactionThe symmetry is pretty much perfect, and the same goes for the shave. The feel is very nice and soft and looks stunning. Only high quality furs have been used and it shows. Every mark has been sewn in so there are no problems with bleeding. The brushing works very well. One of my favourite parts is definitely the eyes, which are bursting with life. We also talked about the hairstyle of my sergal and found a perfect solution to make him look as good as possible. i love how the dreads turned out. The different colours from the reference were worked out together and definitely do it justice. One-Piece Body Wear SatisfactionMy body fits just right. There's enough room for a cooling waistcoat and air circulation, but not too baggy to cause creases. No movements are restricted and I can perform the way I want. The quality is fantastic, no matter what I've done so far, I've had no popping seams or other quality related issues. Quite the opposite, almost every heavy duty structure is reinforced to ensure a long life. The inside looks great, the construction marks are not very obvious and don't bleed. Visual SatisfactionThe body symmetry is also wonderful, no problems with shaving or fur transitions. The feel is also great, he is fluffy and soft with sewn markings as well. Great choice of fur which has been put together from various options and is very well done. The paddings are well done and create a digitigrade look. Same goes for the colours. They are well harmonised and do him justice. Hands Wear SatisfactionThe handpaws are very comfortable to wear thanks to their cotton lining. They fit quite snugly and definitely won't slip off unintentionally. Another advantage is that you can still feel with them, at least to a certain extent. And even opening a bottle is possible. The wrists are not exposed, even when I raise my hands to the sky. So far I've had no problems with damaged parts of my paw pads or claws and no problems with the seams either. Visual SatisfactionVery well made, the pads blend in perfectly with the fur and have a nice squishy feel. The shape was created together with Foo Foo and is exactly what I wanted. Only high-quality components were used and you can see and feel that here too. The claws are made of minky, but are still quite stiff. We also worked together on the design of the handpaws Tail Wear SatisfactionThe tail is sewn into my body so there is no problem with flashing parts from underneath. As the tail is 2.6m long and stuffed, you would think it would be a little heavier, but this is not the case. The tail feels quite natural and doesn't restrict my movements. In environments that are not clean enough to drag it across the floor, I have the option of attaching my tail to my body via a sewn-in connector. So far no damage to the tail, everything has remained as it should be. Visual SatisfactionThe tail just looks great. I love the look and even at this length, the transitions between the skins are lifelike. The tail moves as I would have expected and the skins form a nice surface. With its stuffing, it is quite plastic and has a satisfying squish when squeezed (accompanied by five squeakers). Feet Wear SatisfactionInside the paws (made from very stiff foam) are normal shoes, which make them both easy to wear and quite comfortable. They were a little tighter for the first few hundred metres, but after that they were as comfortable as a normal shoe. They don't restrict my movements either. No problems with slipping out or losing them at all. The sole is made from a real shoe sole (on top of the inside shoes sole) which makes them pretty secure to wear outside. No stones or other objects have penetrated the sole or left any real pressure marks yet. My second par is a pair of semi-indoors without an inner shoe but instead with a nice and snug fitting sock inside and a rubber sole reinforced with a leather plate inside to make sure that walking outside still is comfortable on difficult surfaces. This pair is even more comfortable to wear since I only have to slip in which is possible in like two seconds. Still they won’t fall off and do stay on my feet safely. Visual SatisfactionThe shoes look fantastic, you can see the different bones created by a nice deep but not too deep shave (no backing is visible), accompanied by the well modelled shape of the toes. The transitions are quite natural and the symmetry is absolutely fine. The fur doesn't suffer from wearing them outside, like at all. They still look absolutely stunning. The semi-outdoor ones don't have quite as sharply modelled toes, as they're not made of stiff foam, but still satisfy with their looks. Both certainly live up to my expectations. Final CommentsThe overall quality of the suit is simply stunning. Both the visual and wearing satisfaction are extremely high, as is the standard of quality. I don't think you can go wrong by commissioning Foo Foo for a suit. Yes, it's a bit more expensive, but it's certainly worth it in the end, especially as the suit is built to last.
